Derby fans are still happy to hang their hat on how (apparently) special this victory was despite it being against a reserve team. but they never mention that fact do they? And that is a fact. Great result okay, but why omit the elephant in the room. Oh wait, Derby fans do not want to stain what is probably their best moment from the last decade.

I was living in Derby for university that year and fell in love with this team. Used to get quite a lot of cheap tickets and saw them demolish so many sides that year with quick abs slick play under McLaren, still can’t believe this squad never got promoted! Russell, Hughes, Martin and Bryson were on fire that year!
That was such a good side.Bryson,Hendrick,Martin,Russell.Shame most it is gone now.I have now doubt that if we had gone up that season(as we should have) we would have survived comfortably in the Premiership and still been there now.

The guys a good commentator and everything, but nothing will ever come close to the legendary Graham Richards, who was possibly the single greatest footie commentator of all time. He was also a fanatical Derby County fan.
Hendricks goal one of my fave rams goals ever. Nothing particularly special about it. Just the way you hear the crowd get more and more excited as we move up the pitch until the finish. Then pure pandemonium. Think i elbowed my lil bro in the head jumping around!

Forest were in Div 2 when Derby were Champions twice Dipsh*t ... otherwise the record would read differently ... they only ever existed at all when Cloughie was there for 16 years? .. of no consequence before that & of no significance whatsoever after that. 15K for a home match this season what a f*cking joke of a club without BC. :)
