That's any QB, That's not what happened in this game!! First I think his shoulder is finally almost healed, secondly he was seeing the field, third Although they did block well and pick up the pressures well, he was getting the ball out instead of holding it, there was pressure in his face on the Taysom Hill TD and a few others, and lastly he moved around in the pocket and outside the pocket, somethin I wished he would've done more during the beginning and middle of the season!!
The word is consistency. If the Saints would consistent this year. we would have had a better chance of making the playoffs, now we can still make the playoffs. However, if they were just consistent and played this style of football all year round, We wouldn't have been looking for other teams to help us to get into the playoffs. We would have been able to control our own destiny. I like the improvements that I'm seeing out of Derek Carr.
Exactly. Seemed like the offense and more specifically carr needed time to gel at first, but once the o got going, the d had a few game slump. Run o and qb pressure still needs work, though.
@@ericsipe8619 yeah if we're consistent every week, and the offense is playing good football and the defenses playing good football this could be a very scary team it's just we haven't been on the same page for both sides except for a few occasions like this week
@arkhamreacts264 consistency starts in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Carr was still under significant pressure but was able to get rid of the ball a bit quicker than usual. With consistent time in the pocket and better holes for the running backs to run through, this can be a dynamic offense.
The thing i notice Carr improve the most is allowing the play to develop. I get the the oline needs to give him time that’s understandable. Im talking about when they do pick up their blocks. He used to run out of the pocket and no one would be near him
It helped that the run game was a little better and used more effectively. Once you can protect the quarterback with some consistency, they are a little more comfortable in the pocket and can pick a defense apart.👍🏿
I’ve been saying all season the only one holding down the Saints Offense is OC Pete with his terrible play calling, look at some of passes he has two receivers in the same area really close to each other, that is terrible he forces DC to have to thread the ball to WRs with 2/3 DBs around the ball. In the Rams game they were double teaming Olave, what does OC Pete call a pass play to a WR close to Olave there was 3 DBs in the area, OC Pete is terrible play calling
Oh saints fans… As a Raiders fan I can assure you, you will live off of Carr’s 4-5, maybe 6 really good games a year & then wonder what the hell is happening in the other 10-11. It’s really exhausting.
