In this video we see Derek Heidemann forge a wing nut from a piece of 1/2in square bar steel. Starting from raw materials and bring it to a fully functioning piece of hardware.
Derek Heidemann is a very talented blacksmith that works at the old Sturbridge Village, a living history museum that recreates life in New England from the 1790's to the 1830's.
