A one-off Christmas comedy sketch show special written by and starring comedienne Victoria Wood. It was broadcast on BBC1 on Christmas Day 2000.
Lasting 55 minutes, the show is described by RDF, its rights holders as "a great big Christmas pudding of a show, stuffed full of stars in plum roles. Wonderfully funny sketches, brilliant pastiches and tons of celebrities. If you like your comedy roasting on an open fire this is one not to miss."

Absolutely hilarious, remember it well. VW gave us a taste of what Christmas television used to be like in the 70s/80s. Difficult to think it's almost 5 years since her untimely death. What delights she undoubtedly could have brought us.

This was from Victoria's 2000 Christmas special, which to me was the pinnacle of her career. That Christmas special I remember was just superb

I love Victoria Wood and all her comedy. Delia Smith appears in another of her spoofs called "plots and proposals..."

EHEHEHEH...verissimo...la I volta è stato nel 2006, un vero caso, stavo tornando in ostello dopo lo spettacolo e ho deciso di passare dietro il teatro, così, x vedere se c'era qualche altro fan...vicolo buio, nn un'anima...si apre una porta e ne esce Derek Jacobi! Ero così emozionata che x un attimo ho pensato di girarmi e scappare...invece poi dal nulla mi sento chiedergli un autografo...è stato gentilissimo e carinissimo, mi ha anche fatto gli auguri di Buon Natale (era l'8 Dicembre)!!!

Eheheh più o meno stai facendo il mio stesso percorso...io ho iniziato con Cadfael al posto del Gobbo di Notre Dame...ti consiglio l'Hamlet della BBC...mi ha fatto innamorare di quest'uomo magnifico! Sono riuscita ad andarlo a vedere a Londra ben 2 volte, quest'anno nella "12a notte" di Shakespeare, e ho avuto il cu** di parlargli e chiedergli un autografo...è una di quelle cose che non ti dimentichi più!

EHEHE sono contenta ti sia piaciuto! Cmq lo spettacolo era in scena solo fino alla fine di marzo...io ci sono andata con un'amica, è stato splendido e lui, come sempre, gentile, disponibile e simpatico. Non rifiuta mai di scambiare 2 parole coi fans, chiede se ti è piaciuto lo spettacolo (con un misto di trepidazione e timidezza) e stavolta ci siamo fatte anche delle foto insieme a lui. Perchè non ti fai un giro sul fanforum? Il link lo trovi qui di fianco nella finestra informazioni. :)
