I had the great pleasure to play with Derek in the mid 1990's. He is a great player, singer/songwriter and a great person. he was the voice of the Ted Nugent Band. My favorite singer of the 1970's...I feel lucky to have played drums for him.
I just learned of this song from the new Whitford/St. Holmes album. I didn't realize it existed before then! That's kind of cool! And what a great song! But I love the Whitford/St. Holmes recording even more than this. Brad's guitar work on it just adds so much to the feeling and emotion of the song.
Whether it is backing up the "Nuge', singing the lead on Stranglehold, or this....Derek St Holmes is a great singer and musician who doesn't have to take a back seat to anyone.
I met derick in 2000 in Ames iowa where. He was on tour with ted nugent and he was so cool down to earth signed autographs and took a young boy and mother in to meet ted nugent.very nice guy
that keyboard player is always rocking. such a great artist Derek St Holmes. Would love to see him live, but I'm in good ol Canada and he wouldn't come here im sure. But I did see Ted Nugent back in the day in Toronto. I would love to see him play this stuff
