Derek Stepan scores the Game 7 overtime goal and ends washington's season. Comeback complete! May 13 2015 Round 2 Game 7 Washington Capitals @ New York Rangers
I had this goal on my mind that entire game. I was a little kid watching the game with my parents going crazy, and fast forward 7 years I was with my parents and my girlfriend reacting the same exact way. Nothing changed
TacTiC Albo LMFAO did u even watch the game on Saturday? Tuukka played like shit but the Bruins DOMINATED play we completely outshot u and had so much more tot, every game that the Bruins have had a decent goalie start in this year they are 7-1 all of their losses were from Anton khudobin or Malcolm Subban.
I cried after that goal man. Damn this was an amazing series I get chills everytime Stepan scores that goal. Gained so much respect for the caps after this. They deserved their championship
I cannot stop watching this. I lost my mind when he scored. I was sitting close to my tv and when Step scored I leaped up and jumped for joy around my house. The nervousness and tension went away. Great vid Loffen! Love the dual feeds as well! LETS GO RANGERS!
BillyWagner13 A month later but as a Kings fan I gotta congratulate u and the Rangers on coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win the series twice in a row. Rangers are a heck of a team that's for sure.
+Michael Barry Yup. Coming here too after that disaster series against Pittsburgh is therapy for me as well. This was probably my favorite moment in the 4 year "window" stretch we had from 2012-2015. 2nd would be Rangers beating Montreal to make the finals.
I watched this on the Derek Stepan Day May 13th this year (never forget), but in solitude to not jinx the gods until the conclusion of the series. Never forget Derek Stepan Day, and today, on May 15th, will forever be Artemi Panarin Day, Game 7, OT. Sam's voice, the celebration in the same corner, the series winner... BLEED BLUE... LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!
For the whole entire 2015 playoffs this was probably the best series out of all the other games played. Game 7 OT coming back 3-1. C'mon only in New York!
+Glitch94 Love how my Caps can entertain everyone else being apart of the most entertaining series year in and out and are always on the short end of them..
This was the last great moment from those Lundqvist Ranger teams. 2012-2015 we saw 3 Eastern Conference Final appearances and one Final appearance. Sadly they came up short of the Cup, but man those were some fun talented squads that had very deep runs in the playoffs year after year! I'll always remember those seasons as a Rangers fan and am grateful for some wonderful memories! As the 2020 season nears a close, I look forward to seeing what the Rangers bring in the upcoming years with some young, fresh-faced talent. The future appears to very bright with John Davidson as President, Igor Shesterkin in net and Panarin tearing it up! LETS GO RANGERS! 🙂
Your bragging about paying three bills to see an NHL game just proves how low this league has fallen. It used to be a fun league to watch - Now it's played by sissies that can't fight, don't want to fight and don't want to intimidate. This league used to be fun to watch. I'm glad you like it, but you have such low expectations or are too young to remember when the NHL used to be good.
I'm 34!! I'm not too young to remember the 90's style of Hockey. 90's was definitely best time for hockey for me anyway. I want the fighting to come back for sure!! Then you got Crosby who dives and is a crybaby any time he gets touched or whatever. But yeah me spending $300 was worth it for me. Just saying
As a caps fan even after winning a cup this one still stings😩 remember to well... but tbh I love the rangers goal horn and song and appreciate that the commentary was silent during it💯
i was on vacation in las vegas and flew back just for this game and back to vegas the next day. i am a 51 year rangers fan and what a great memory this game was.
The only Rangers playoff game I ever went to and I got to sit in my friends corporate box. It was indescribable. My brain actually shook from the roar when Step scored that goal. Something I’ll never forget. Just like game 6 for the Mets in 86. I was also st the game where Dykstra homered against the Astros off Dave Smith to win the game.
i will never forget this goal, it was right before my dad took his final trip to the hospital and him a life long leaf fan this moment was the first time in years we cheered together. And ill remember that for the rest of my life.
Most legendary moment in my own personal hockey experience. I remember that Ovechkin "guaranteed" that he would win this game, similar to Mark Messier's guarentee in 94. My dad was asleep on the couch and they scored and I thought I was going to cry I was screaming so loud. Over come with emotion. Jesus lord this team will be the death of me.
I dropped off my friend at Grand Central Terminal, and raced back to Penn Station to watch OT @ Rosa’s Pizza on their TV. When Stepan scored, the large crowd of NYR fans, who were gathered around that TV, erupted in a large roar. I started jumping up and down, and hugged a fellow NYR fan and we went absolutely nuts.
Was up at 5 in the morning here in Sweden watching this game and screamed like a bafoon when Stepan scored this goal haha! Everyone in my family woke up. Memories
The 2015 Rangers were the first full season sports team I've ever watched and I can't believe it's already been 6 years since then. Looking back, I'm fairly sure if everyone had been healthy, this was the year.
For me just getting into hockey at that time and just getting into the Rangers, this was my version of "Matteau!! Matteau!! Matteau!!" I jumped up screaming and almost fell backwards off the barstool I was that excited that they had completed that amazing comeback.
I'm not even a Rangers fan but this gives me chills. I was really hoping for a Rangers/Ducks finals matchup in 2015 but it's a shame that didn't happen.
Great ranger moment. I'm old school so I enjoyed 79 run and of course 94 cup better. So many greats to wear the Jersey. BLUESHIRTS FOREVER! Ratelle,Gilbert,Park,Hadfield, Tkazcuk,Don Maloney, Murdoch, Duguay,Vickers,Greschner,Middleton,Eddie, messier, leetch, vbk, richter, espo, larouche, dionne, gartner, henrik, jagr,Gretzky, Graves. RANGER PUCKS!
I still come back to this because moments like this are indescribable and unforgettable never in my entire life was I so happy when Stepan scored unfortunately injuries came along and we fell short I pray that in my lifetime I get to so this team lift a Stanley cup LGR!
This clip was a lot easier for caps fans to watch after 2018. Before then though I could never bring myself to watch it. I used to HATE the rangers, even more than the pens. But life goes on. I’m 26 now, this series happened when I was a senior in high school. I’d really like to see a rangers game in the garden someday. Very few venues and fanbases create this kind of energy
I’m a Devils fan, born and raised in Jersey so I naturally hate the Rangers .. but I come back to this video all the time as a hockey fan for the chills from this goal. From the nice play off the face off to the legendary call from Doc Emerick it’s pure gold
My friends and I were all chatting during the game. Once OT rolled around no one said a word, when that goal was scored we blew the damn roof off of our dorm! Undoubtably my favorite Rangers moment since I've been a fan!
Couldn't resist coming back here after the Rangers won game 7 vs the Penguins on Sunday.... I still remember losing a pound or 2 in sweating from the anxiety this game gave me, but that feeling of elation when the winning goal is scored makes up for it all 😇😏
Up until the Capitals won the Stanley Cup this past year, these names probably caused their fans to have nightmares and bad memories when they were mentioned- Derek Stepan- Nick Bonino- Ryan McDonagh- Marian Gaborik- Marty Straka- Petr Nedved- Daniel Briere
I was at the bar across from the garden called (local) place was packed. Got the early train from matawan Aberdeen with my brother and friend. That place went absolutely ape shit, everyone throwing drinks in the air, a moment I’ll never forget in my life.
