I found out a few years back, when some labs started using them, that I’m allergic to the adhesive on paper medical tape. I can do a bandage or the plastic stuff just fine, but when they put paper tape on me, I get a huge, swollen welt, that’s proud by about half a centimeter, bright red, and itchy af!
I'm allergic to all medical adhesives - from Bandaids to Steri Strips to Duoderm dressing. Adhesives apparently have both sulfafites or sulfates in their makeup.
@@ladycplum I wonder if there's an alternative.. I have frequent hospital stays and they often have to move my I.V. because they blow my veins out,I'm not a fan of my flesh being ripped off over and over..
Here's some irony for ya, my adhesive allergy has gotten worse.....now I can ever have surgical glue used on me.....here's the irony part, due to a surgical comication causing Pudendal Neuralgia & now have an ostomy!!! It's been a really "interesting" learning curve/experience to say the least.
usually this Dr. has a good sense of humor, i’ve even seen what seems to be a heightened sense of satisfaction when there is a clip of something pretty gross and not ordinary, always seemingly good natured and i would even say gentle as far as Dr’s and guys in general.. I’m not sure if it is just an off day, or 🤷🏻♀️ but seeing impatience and easily irritated was a big surprise! i only mention it because I’m ret. from behavioral therapy world, and typically these traits show themselves relatively early in exposure to them.. I’ve seen this Dr. for quite sometime and would never have believed he had that amount of snark in him.. 😂 Taken by surprise🙋🏻♀️ Doc., You’re snark is showing ! I think impatience is an inevitable in the male DNA.. love that bottom line no fluff discussions!😂
i hear you, and get it… as I lived with boys and a dad then a husband, i think tho, when it is on screen , maybe ? We also look at Dr.’s , particularly the one’s who do videos and sort of teach/ share with the world their take from their area of specialties it is usually more idk professional / polite, not like a dude at home snapping at his family.. And know many Dr.’s , people in general that don’t care where they are , they can go to places that may not be their best.. but this Dr. in all my experience’s so far, i’ve never seen even a hint of that whatever you want to call it, “ get to the bottom line!”, which i suppose to some isn’t really strange. I think it was more shocking to me that I’d never picked up on it., also, i’m really curious about why people handle things the way they do, naturally curious.. I also think people always wanting to limit conversations has taken away a big part of what was once community.. everything is text, abbreviate and gotta hurry.🤷🏻♀️.
