For those who are asking about the products she's using: - CERAVE hydrating cleanser - Vichy - Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum - No7 Restore & Renew Face & Neck MULTI ACTION Night Cream The micellar water i think it's GARNIER's, thermal water probably AVÈNE's and the lip balm i have no idea 😅
Why is nobody talking about how affordable her the majority of her products are? Like the whole cleansing steps could be literally be found in a drug store 😍
one of my main concerns is cleansing the eye area to remove eye makeup. noone ever shows how to do that thoroughly and properly even though it's so important for your eye health to remove it completely
I use Vaseline to remove waterproof eye makeup. Its safe. We even use it in patient's eyes that can't blink often. I have very sensitive eyes but this is one thing that doesn't make them burn. Then I wash away with clear, non milky facial cleanser. Then I wash with a simple salicylic acid cleanser to get deep in my pore. Then I do my regular skin care routine, Hope this helps.
@@nuninuninu5095 that's really helpful thank you! I think most people can go without face makeup most days but eye makeup is sometimes indispensable even if it's just some mascara/eyeliner, yet noone does good tutorials on removal. My eyes however go a bit bloodshot when I'm thoroughly removing product from the lashline with help of a q-tip. I'm not being aggressive but if the tiniest amount of product gets in my eyes it's over for me 🙄 is there any products you'd recommend for someone like me? I usually use La Roche-Posay Respectissime Eye Make Up Remover for Sensitive Eyes

If that works for you, then I'm happy for you. But please do realise that it's not enough for everyone. People have different skins, and those people who shame others for fulfilling the specific needs of their skin are just awful.
@@Sa_8881that’s so insanely wrong- she is not overdoing it at all and she’s using the gold standards, including tretinoin and hyaluronic acid. She’s a dermatologist- why are so many people with no skincare education trying to correct a medical doctor who completed a fellowship in dermatology?! Bizarre

I just use Dr. bronner's castile soap with a face cloth (it lasts forever), maybe some face balm mixed with a small amount of retin A cream and a bottle of sea salt and water spritz. Works like a charm. I'm nearly 50 and not a wrinkle in sight. I honestly couldn't imagine having that much product on my bathroom bench.
Agreed. I have pretty much the same, but spritz rosewater on after a shower because it smells pretty and makes me feel like I'm doing something 😂 I also rarely wear makeup so I wonder if these days people feel like they can counter years of wearing layers of toxins on their face by wearing more layers of toxins on their face? 49, no wrinkles, no crepe skin and no blemishes. Probably because I listened to my grandmother... ❤
Some people need more or less product. I have a cousin who washes her faces with literal soap, never moisturises, and never uses sunscreen, yet her skin is flawless. And she's a mother of four. Four! Meanwhile here I am with 20+ different skincare products (I don't use them all at once, dw), and while my skin is much improved compared to how it was before I did any skincare, it's still FAR from what my cousin naturally has 🥲
I believe natural ingredients gives better results only that it takes some time to see the results when first starting. I started using rose water+saffron (buy 100% rose water and i mix a few strands of saffron) once that is absorbed i use alovera gel, rice water moisturiser and sunscreen. At night will include retinol. I have been using the rose water and alovera gel for 2yrs now.. alovera keeps my skin hydrated, even being in air conditioning room for the whole day my skin never feel dry.
Exactly what I was thinking. Plus she only put the vaseline in targeted spots, and then proceeded to rub tretinoin and moisturizer all over her face which would move the vaseline around. Kinda seems like she doesn't even know what she's doing......
Vaseline in certain spots, corner of lips, around the nose, folds of skin (some of us have deeper wrinkles than y'all), keep the sensitive areas from getting trentinoin burn, if u will. IDk how else to explain it. When I put trentinoin on places of skin that touch or on lip edges, they accelerate the skin shed process & peel. So either use heavier moisturizer, or petroleum based product, to protect. If u use trentinoin & have sensitive skin, u know the struggle.
I had same issue then i used CeraVe resurfacing retinol serum and all the milia was gone also vaseline started workinh in my benefit for the first time in the life 😂
Hyaluronic acid before tretinoin is highly irritating... Maybe it works for her but she should have clarified that in the video, it's not for everyone.
What? State your source- hyaluronic before tretinoin is not an issue. The woman went to school and/or studied for 8+ years, I think she probably has more knowledge than you
@@zara__9018 Okay.. But I believe that a cleansing balm is more gentle in dissolving makeup and sunscreen. Whilst by using micellar water you tug and rub your skin which can cause damage in the long run. 🙈
@@stephanie03 you normal cleanser does the job perfectly fine. surfactants have water loving head and oil loving body so you don't need extra oil to remove sunscreen
@@zara__9018 I haven't yet found a cleanser that is Oil and Water based.. I currently am using cetaphil which is a water based cleanser and Earth Rythm for a cleansing balm. Which cleanser you use that claims to work as a double cleanse?
@@The_Queenherself the moisturiser can't get to the skin. It's supposed to be moisturiser first and then vaseline on top to lock in the moisture. Check it on Doctorly's youtube. Slugging I think it's called
@@Nusibah7 i watch them. She is not slugging. She is using it as a barrier to stop or minimize irritation. Slugging is putting a heavier moisturizer on and then covering that with Vaseline, etc. To trap in moisture.
@@The_Queenherself yes How will the moisturiser get to the skin if the skin is covered with vaseline jelly. Do you know what I mean The moisturiser won't be able to penetrate the vaseline jelly barrier easily or ever.
Because tretinoid dries the skin so bad, that thin areas are literally burned if exposed too much to it (happened to me once and I had to cover my face for literally 3 days in olive oil cause everything else was burning like hell.. lesson learned!). To use Vaseline on these areas is super clever because it’s a thick protection!! ❤️
@@sophieh4925 She doesn't have eye makeup on. Do you never see people in person who don't wear makeup? Pigmentation around the eyes is normal, and so are long and thick lashes. Makeup is literally meant to replicate these desirable traits in persons that don't have them.
For those who’ve never use tretinoin ! Be careful with adding it with anything else . Usually give yourself a year to get used to it ,keep your skincare simple until you can add something else
A year?! That isn’t true. You do not need to go that long using tretinoin alone and you certainly shouldn’t be using it at all without a moisturizer- most people experience dryness, and if not treated, their skin will be beyond light peeling and will go straight into crusty territory
This is not a lot of product. I don’t now where you guys are getting your information, but this is a very standard, trusted routine that doesn’t serve as a problematic in any way
Putting stuff on your face all the time can give you a reaction. You can achieve good skin with using products once a week you don't have to overload your skin everyday.
This skin care routine is definitely for someone with dry skin or someone that’s living in a cold and dry environment. Living in a hot humid climate, I could never put that many layers 😅
Do not trust a dermatologist who still uses cotton pads and makeup remover to wipe away makeup, do not trust a dermatologist who does not DOUBLE CLEANSE. Please be more educated and exercise critical thinking
Hello, I have a question. Recently I’ve been seeing a lot of people making their own homemade body sugar scrubs using sugar, honey, olive oil and some body wash. I want to know if this is okay for your skin and if not can you show us how to make one that is friendly to sensitive skin. Thankyou. :)
According to her fans, she has natural pink eyelids, eyelashes that stick together, a natural black liner under her eyes and a natural peach-coral coloured lips. She was born with natural makeup on her face.
HA actually helped me balance out the dryness, also my skin did not purge once I started using HA along with tretinoin. Make sure u use a higher molecular weight HA and stay away from sodium hyaluronate which is a lower molecular weight one studies showed it can cause potential irritation to sensitive skin as it penetrates into deeper layers of skin which isn't much required considering the mechanism of action of HA. PS: wrote this being a biochemist.
These people just jump on the bandwagon without thinking anything. Saw dr. Dray suggesting vaseline for undereye and nasolabial fold before tret/retinol and now all these derms are making videos on this. Who's going to talk about milia that you can get from layering vaseline under your eyes? Also, if you apply vaseline then how do you apply your eye cream or any anti aging cream for the under eyes?
keep in mind it wont work with everyone as we all have different skin types! what works for her may not work for you so use trial and error to find suitable products for your skin type xx
I've heard this happening to some people. This is a holy grail cleanser for a lot of people but won't work for everyone. I recommend the hydrating cleanser by LaRoche Posay or Mad About Skin ✌️
Cerave broke me out so bad :( I didn't want to believe it was those products because they're so popular and highly recommended, but I read online that other people broke out from it, too. I quit all my Cerave products and the next morning, for the first time in years, I woke up with no new breakouts. If you have acne-prone skin, consider cutting out Cerave products from your routine. The results may surprise you.
@@danielle4976 Acne after one day isn't a breakout - breakouts take weeks to form. And breakouts don't clear up overnight, either. I'm not saying that you didn't have some sort of reaction to CeraVe, and I'm not saying their products are perfect and work for absolutely everyone. But CeraVe products deliver quality results for many people at an affordable price, and it's not right for you to be fear mongering like this. And btw, as someone with acne-prone skin, using a CeraVe moisturiser helped IMMENSELY with reducing my spots and fading my marks and hyperpigmentation.
Yes if it isnt used properly It must always be applied on damp skin, followed by a good moisturiser.. otherwise it will produce totally opposite effects from what it is actually meant to do
You don't need to apply it on damp skin, there is enough water in your moisturiser. Water helps, but if you have sensitiv skin then it causes breakouts, so try to use it without water and see how it goes
NOT EVERYBODY can use Tretionine, especially pregnant women and teens should make sure it's safe for them. PLEASE always check before you use anything particular on yourselves, even if it's for external use!!
