Always makes me feel sad to see how much loved and wonderful people are soon forgotten, I could walk past that plot a thousand times and not notice who layed there 😢
I still watch father Ted to this day I work nights in a hotel as hotel night porter and regularly put father Ted on once all my jobs are done I still watch and laugh as much as I ever did such a great talent and he is so badly missed
He was quite brilliant. He actually died in Isleworth at The West Middlesex Hospital. It’s in the London Borough of Hounslow. He was a hugely talented man with great comic timing.A lovely tribute. It looks like an old family plot which does seem a bit neglected.
You know it never ceases to amaze me how amazed I am at such poorly kept graves for such famous people . I wasn’t a big follower of FT But I know a lot here in Ireland who were . He died so young but maybe the good Lord needed another comedian back home . Love your work mate best wishes from Ireland 🇮🇪🍺☘️🍺☘️🍺☘️
Mrs H 🇬🇧 .. My hubby still watches Father Tedd... I don't know if he knew Dermot died at such a young age..We do know he was extremely funny... I can't understand why his grave is so neglected & forgotten about... Isn't it said that " GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN ? " yet his grave looks like he is totally forgotten about.... My Mother died in 1983 yet she is still loved to this day even though her kids live longer than her.. She is our mother..We aren't rich and can't afford to pay for her grave to be maintained BUT although life is very busy, Half an hour every 6 weeks isn't asking much to show your love & remember good memories of loved ones... Demot's grave looks neglected & Sad for such a well known entertaining funny man ..RIP Dermot...You aren't forgotten about in the public eye who appreciated you... Thank You for your funny acting...God Bless...❤
I taught many years later in the school he had gone to. Oatfields in Mount Merrion. Sooner or later life breaks your heart. Thank you for this video, a simple thank you.
THANKS PAUL FOR FINDING THE GRAVE OF DERMOT MORGAN SORRY YOU GOT SOAKED IT RAINS A LOT HERE I SHOULD KNOW IM IRISH SAD TO SEE NO FLOWERS ON THE GRAVE HE WAS VERY FUNNY IN FATHER TED MAY HE FIND PEACE R I P 🙏💙
,Every time life seemed to be going "Ted Crilly's" way, something always went wrong. When the awful news of his death came through, I was struck by the real life irony of his untimely death, when he was at the height of his powers. All who created "Father Ted" gave us gifts of joy and laughter. Thank you for this tribute.
How time moves on so quickly. It only seems like a short time ago we learned of his sad death. Father Ted was his crowning glory but Scrap Saturday was priceless as well as Father Trendy. Rest in Peace Dermot.
Got to appreciate the effort you put in there with the travelling. Subbed. I can remember the day Dermot died, remember hearing on the radio early one morning.
well done Paul on showing us Dermot Morgan . final resting place. where was the ground staff the are usally people working in cementeries on a community employment scheme .through the cremlin the labour exchange. as for dermot he had talent and he had very successful hit in 1986 in the Irish charts thank you Mr Eastwood . Barry mc Guigan late boxing coach. where he did impersonations of the late pope john Paul 2nd. I sure the single was in the top 40 in the british charts in 1986.
Interesting and respectful video, thank you. I grew up in Crosby and was playing at my neighbours house on the evening he died - I was 7 years old and remember the news report quite vividly
DRINK! r.i.p. Dermot. Watched Father Ted All Those Yrs Ago Every Week So Funny All Who Was In It Classic Comedy That Will Never Fade Away. Dermot Won't Fade Away Either Forever Comedy Legend.. 👍
Sad to see he was taken way too soon.Sad to see such a simple headstone and unkept but maybe he wasn’t one for anything other.I will like many others remember him for his genius.Watch Father Ted regularly he is a Legend.
He had several sons. I saw them on RU-vid being interviewed on a talk show. It was a few yesrs ago and they were in their 20s. Obviously can't be bothered to tend to their Father's grave, or to at least ensure that someone else does look after it.
It hasn't been beautiful for most of the last two years. DLR county council, in its wisdom or lack of it, decided to allow the weeds to grow in the interest of biodiversity. So many people were terribly upset at the state of their loved ones resting place, but the bureaucrats in their ivory tower, couldn't care less about the people.
Dermot Morgan was so funny and so were his co-stars in Father Ted. The show features in clip form in my community radio shows simply because it remains so funny. And yes, Father Jack says 'Feck' in my shows because I am 100% non pc and all my listeners understand that and simply want to be entertained. Thank you for this.
Hi Paul love your videos of graveyards I go around lot's of them too there are lots of famous ones in Deangrange Barry Fitzgerald and his brother Arthur Shields are buried there they both were in The Quiet Man Barry real name was William Shields if you are ever back look it up keep up the good work Paul very interesting take care 👍
What a wonderfull talent Dermot was..I have to agree though with previous comments, for a guy so known and loved his grave looks very unkempt..maybe its just the awful weather that's made it look muddy. R.I.P. Dermot.
Grave should be in better condition tbh. He was a funny guy loved by many. You want my honest opinion? I think most of these people who die are forgotten by certain family members and money is more important to them. Inheritance etc.
He has a memorial dedicated to him facing government buildings in merrion square Dublin called the jokers chair .It would have been worth a look for you .
The grave appears at 5 minutes 13 seconds if you don't want to follow the journey. Dermot Morgan was cremated, so only the ashes were buried in the family plot (which looks messy).
I saw his sons on YoutTbe being interviewed on a talk show a few years ago. They were in their late 20s then by the look of them. So he had family alright. Family who could be bothered to tend to their Father's grave is another matter entirely ...
Even across the pond Father Ted is well loved and missed. He brought us home every weekend, and it felt as though The Emerald Isle was not so far away. God bless you kind good Sir rest peacefully.
