Father Brown never booked the trip to New York on the Titanic. Hi intended disembarking at Cobh. En route he met a wealthy couple who offered to pay his fare to New York. He messaged his Bishop to ask for leave but was refused. That is the only reason he left the ship at Cobh.
My Irish friend, Johnny took me there because he said he used to go there to hang out, get peace while drink beer and just enjoy the nature of the cemetery. We had an interesting experience when I was there and left a wonderful impression on me. I am glad we had gone! When I get time, I did film our experience and will have it posted on my channel!
I grew up in Dublin from the time i was born until i was 10 years old. I moved to Canada in 2005 and i Haven't been back to Dublin since. Im 27 yrs old now and i hold this beautiful place close to my heart. Glasnevin brings me such peaceful yet nostalgic memories of walking through and laying flowers on my nannys grave. I love this beautiful historic landmark so much. I will absolutely be booking my ticket to come for a visit after this many years. ❤️❤️
I'm going in August to see the WT, I'm also going to London in July to see them too. I live in Kent close to London. From Ireland to Glasgow to England, my heart will always remain in Ireland.
I shouldn't really say this (as it involves the dead) but that was a really lovely video presentation. Hoping to get back in July so I'll check out your guided tours then. Well done with your facts etc
Daniel O'Connells final resting place is a fascinating and eerie place. I never knew his body is preserved from decomposition and so are a lot of saints in Catholicism
Winnie Wallace.... I enjoyed this video apart from the background noise, well you wouldn't call it music surely??. Found it distracting, why was it needed.
Sadly I feel that the sacrifices made by those who helped make Ireland free... Are currently being undone by the very people who report to be for the Irish people....
Had kitty children the say No 10 in london said MCollins had child out wedlock but not with kitty if true Mc bloodline still runs free out there some where
It's disgusting to see tour coaches going into the cemetery, George maccollagh has an awful lot to answer for, turning the old angels plot into a football training ground, not allowed grieving parents to decorate their children's graves, turning Glasnevin cemetery into Hollywood forever cemetery 😡
So this is a serious question. I've always wondered because of how divided Ireland was during the troubles how would either side react if when asked if I was either Catholic or Protestant and I answered with either oh I enjoy all of the religions or simply said I followed the drowned God? Would that have spared me from some violence or trouble or would that just make me a target all around. I ask this because you never hear about the other religions getting messed with during that time?
The greatest Irishman of the 20th century is Servant of God Frank Duff! The man with the greatest legacy trumping all the others you mentioned! The Legion of Mary is the biggest lay Apostolate in the Catholic Church and Frank was a powerful visionary steeped in his faith🙏
