Derek has no problem blaming everyone else for his problems that he's created for himself blaming his father, his mother and his own children, that he abandoned and left the state to pay the freight, the cops, Derek needs to take a good long hard look in the mirror and blame the guy staring back from the glass
Of course we are giving them some cash. They are completely aware we are video recording them for youtube. We are giving them a voice...more than your doing..thanks for watching and have a nice day.
@@bostonsunderworld9898ou really like to have it both ways and you are so disturbingly assuming. You have no knowledge of the person. You dont try any mature way to interact with the commenter. You just judge them to not be helping. You represent ignorance AND if you actually give an addict money you are feeding their addiction. Shame on you. I can't imagine any good soul doing what you did in your response. As a former addict I can unequivocally say if your the best of RU-vid caring you are not, on or about the streets. You think by giving money and food that makes you or gives you the right to do what you did here?? Omg hopefully in time society will actually do something. Till then there will be fake individuals like you. Never heard of a christian or catholic doing what you did here. Disgusting
I have to start out by saying your videos are the most interesting videos I've seen about Methadone Mile. You actually give viewers insight about the inhabitants of this area. I'm sure all of the thousands of people who drive past that area every day have questions about these people. You have made an honest attempt at getting answers. This particular video was very compelling. This young man's pain was palpable! Such a waste of life, but with his beginning he was doomed to failure. I hope the city finds a solution that involves rehabilitation, counseling and housing. Not just one, but all three: MICHELLE WU DO NOT DROP THE BALL NOW THAT YOU ARE ELECTED. THESE PEOPLE ARE BOSTONIANS TOO AND ONLY YOU CAN HELP! I hope this issue wasn't just a ploy to garner votes. It's sad to see drugs drain the life frim these people. My prayers are with them.🙏🙏🙏
Wow that was tough to watch. I’m Praying for Derrick 😢🙏. He has a lot of trauma and I can tell he has no one to talk to about it with. Mix that with years of family abuse, drugs, homelessness, depression, it’s a hard jail to escape. Shoutout to y’all for giving him a voice. Even if it’s 5 min. Much love and respect .
I want to have empathy for these people but I just can't. I've seen this guy on the bridge by South Bay plaza, smoking cigarettes and asking for money. There's so many services to offer help to these people in Boston.
Cant they look for job as current there are lot places need workers... I think the govt should give ppl some chances. I think ppl has some criminal background is mostly will be denied for most of job. May be we should consider to open up some jobs for them. I meant how can all the stores cannot find employees and these ppl are on street?
It’s much deeper than that apply for a job and leave what contact info most don’t have identification nevertheless a phone or how about if they do get called for a job what will they wear to interview daily showers in a safe place not a shelter or public restroom mass Ave was Boston’s own doing they should have never let it get this far now offering services to people everyone that has gone to court for legal issues is now in jail not treatment people forced to move given vouchers and not able to contact workers it’s a big mess all the way around and sucks for everyone involved Derrick another great kid honest and loyal known him all my life he can do it keep fighting buddy
@@johnnybrennan7501 i were thinking if govt can build up some building with small room like 15ftx15ft for those individuals with address and room number... and shared kitchen or bathroom, computer room etc. At least, they have something to start, a address, a place to shower before any job interview. Cell phone service can be cheap like $10 per month prepaid. At least something can start them up and good for everyone by the end.......
They already have places like that all over the city there called single occupancy units the city has bought 20-30 buildings this year and converted it to this. First they tried to put everyone in hotels like the one off the highway that holiday inn and the hotels rejected it now they gave out 400 vouchers to a program that pays rent for 1 year and then your on your own essentially 1 year should be plenty of time to get clean get a job save money
@@johnnybrennan7501 hope thing will go well... I was looking on RU-vid for bosron shelter and a homeless shelter director pocketed 2M.... Shame on him to do that..... Hope the money will go straight to those need helps and hope those ppl will get rid the drug addiction and start their life... thank you
I'm doing a college project on methadone mile and am a sober addict. These videos are great! I've shared each one with a friend and I wish there was a way to get these out there more! Thank you for showing what's really going on
