You don't happen to have plans drawn up for your cabinets and sink area, I just got my T25 and that's all I need to replace on it. And yours are amazing
Very beautyful t25 but can the old vw's drive a long trip, i mean the t1,t2,t25,t3. I heard somewhere that the old cars can't drive a long trip like 400km. Is that why some old vw's are abandoned or i just wanna know can they drive long distance and why people abanon things
Thank you, yes they can do long trips provided they are well maintained, the problem is that some owners treat them like modern vehicles and expect them to just keep working without regular maintenance, you simply have to remember they are old vehicles now and need things checking from time to time
Lovely work. Great example of how to make one of these modern and fully functional, without going overboard! I'm going to insulate mine next year... Gulp!
Really nice job. I have to leave mine with the original interior :-( I am very DIY willing but have zero experience of woodwork/cabinet making. Then when you said it a long time...
I really liked this build, except I liked the round lights better. I guess its a matter of personal preference. I would really like to see more videos on this one :)
beautiful job, probably looks better than it did new.... i just bought 1, should be delivered tomorrow. it needs some welding here and there but ill try to keep a picture of your finished van in my head. if it turns out half as good ill be well pleased....... mine has a full width bed so does that mean i can fit seat belts like your 1 on both sides and will that need an engineers report? ill sacrifice some cabinets to for the bigger bed

Love the colour of your van. Is that Tornado red? Also love the upholstery, It looks real quality. And the cabinet work and matching colour scheme is top notch. I wish my van looked half as good. My van is gray (Ugh!).
Nice van, Sir. About that fridge i had the same problem with the power, now I got a compressor one. Not cheap but its working like the ona at home ;-) It's a Dometic mdc065 that will fit in your van to. Greetz Renate.
Stunning van, really great to see quality workmanship and attention to detail without hype and showing off. Love the MX5 stuff, but really good to see what else you guys are tackling. Thanks for taking the time to are the film and post.
Man-- I'd love to know where you got those "fog" lights or as you say-- daylight lights in the front bottom. I've not been able to find those anywhere. I'm over in America. Have a '91 Westy weekender w/ Subie Kennedy engine conversion. Thing rips at @ 185 HP. Anyway, if you can help w/ where to score those lower lights, that'd be rad. Thanks! Great job!
Really love your van and I'm definitely going to use the same colours. I've just bought a t25 which I've completely gutted out. It's ready for a conversion like yours. Just trying to find someone to do it for me.
i tink its too fooamy and white and red and pops up quirky. But i think its good made, i`m from germany - and love to see how the british save our vans from the ofen. Keep up, have fun, show us, and follow your instincts when rescuing and converting!!! In Germany we have the TÜV. TÜV prevents any aspects of creativ acts of saving old vehicles!!! Love the color, the front and fridge- keep it (dump it!)
Could you list all the parts with the links where to biy them. You mods is realmy beautiful. Love the top. Love the details to the boy and your storage! Great projet. Look foward! In 2020 theres a Vanagon on my bucketlist! Hahaha From Montreal Qc
Firstly, hello from the Hunter Valley in Australia. Secondly, I came here because I’m interested in camper vans and then incredibly I find out you have MX5‘s. I say incredibly because not only do I own 4 campers, 4x4 Mitsubishi L300s which are approximately the same size as your VW, but I also own 4 MX5‘s. I used to think that camper vans and small sports cars were an odd combination to own/collect, but apparently not, lol. I love your VW van. You have done a great job with the work that you’ve done it. I really enjoyed the video. I have now subscribed. Thank you.
Hi, the van was originally made converted by Danbury and the pop top was fitted by them, they are rare pop tops, I've only ever seen one other T25 for sale with the same top, and I've never seen one when out and about.
Great job! i am trying to do the same with mine! working on the floor now, do you know where can i get some good interior plans with measures? thanks a lot for sharing your video!
Top video and great looking van. I'm looking at T25's now and have zero experience with any of this kind of work, where are you guys based? Do you do renovation/conversion stuff generally or was this a personal project? cheers
Hi Sam, We don't currently do that sort of work as part of the business, I did this one for my own personal use, but if there is interest I might consider starting to do this sort of work
Hi Luke, those were called Terrapods I think, but to be honest they are crap, some of the LED's have already failed and one of the lenses has become UV damaged, I'm looking to change them
Good video but more MX5 related ones PLEASE!! Really interested in your mk1 turbo and what you did as the modifications that supported the turbo conversion. Also any issues you had and what to watch out for. 8¬D
Yep. Nice video. I know at least 4 people (including myself! - though mine's a T4 Calfornia) who are into MX5s and VW campers. So you are not alone ! I wish I could find a way to tow Mia the NA behind TiFourTwo but unfortunately towing dollies are illegal in France. So Mia has to stay at home when we go on holiday 🙁. Any ideas ?
@@lightsuplightsdown3018 Yeah that's what I wanted to do but French législation is really complex and after investigation it looks like I need to pass a special category on my driving licence. There's also a complex calculation to be done of tow vehicle and trailer loaded and unloaded weights. The towing vehicle must be heavier I think than the total of the trailer and car.
Hi Mack, Thanks for the comments, it was lowered on something like 70mm lowered springs, but the ride was terrible, then i found out that the front was sitting on the bump stops, so I cut them down which improved the ride, but I noticed that it started to get even lower on the front over the next few months, until eventually it was back on the bump stops again. So basically the springs were knackered and sagged, so I've now fitted 50mm drop AVO springs, its higher than when this video was made, but man the ride is sooooo much better!!!
@@lightsuplightsdown3018 Thanks man! Its actually the 50mm AVO springs with shocks im considering on my high top westy. Its heavier so should sit lower then yours. Im hearing lots of shit about AVO not even making the car lower etc. But you seem happy so thats good. You dont have tire size and rim size for me also? :) Love they way this is sitting. I know mine will be taller, but hey. Its gonna be close.
So no off-road for this beauty, white upholstery low suspension and front spoiler will not match with country trail . A bit of à pity for a VW camper but nice work anyway

Mate, you did a great job on the details! Your back cabinet is well thought out! I would love to see more of the cabinets and how they were joined/finished. Great video!
Great Job :) looks great! I'm just about to start my T25 interior replacement, do you mind if i ask how many sheets of laminated ply you used for the interior? still trying to work out all measurements etc.. so i can price it up :)
It really depends, there are a lot of used items out there, but new I think its something like £3000 for a westfalia style one, all I did here was change the canvas part, which cost me about £400 if I remember correctly
Sorry, but for 70 mm of vanity, you cut back the factory designed front impact bumper. I would try spending a long week in a wheel chair before doing that, these things are Remarkable stout and tough by careful design, see the documentary videos on T3s
