Hello mate. I would recommend a guy called Sean. He is a mechanic (S.chandler) in Polegate he has owned a few t2 and currently has a t25 and a t25 Dakota. My parents are going to be taking there t25 to him sometime this year and I know he has not long finished doing some welding on a t25 recently (jan 24) he is the mechanic I use for my classics and modern cars (96 Mini Cooper. 73 series Land Rover. 2009 fiat 500) if your still looking for one he is highly recommended

Hi, I love your VW, I just bought one a few days ago and the whole van is the colour of your side door and tailgate. What colour is this yellow please? Somebody said it's Creme or Cream or possibly Ivory. It's definitely not Bamboo yellow.

Cannot wait for the pd 130! That will be a beast! I absolutely love the van mate even as it is now. We did the same as you. Built ours to meet our needs living mainly outside and just sleeping inside. We still have gas currently but I haven't got the panels on the roof yet or large battery system. It will come.

Is it stone blue I have a t5 in stone blue love it. I am looking forward to this build. We have the same sort of camping style minimal me and the wife in the van and a 15 and 13 year old twins in the driveway awning no cooking but I like your idea of the air fryer 👍

We’ve tried in the past, but there is just not enough internal material in the window frame to mount the rails

Super viking roof is a great option for families - bought mine when the kids were small, and 10 years later i just can't bring myself to sell it on as its so unique and full of memories. Interested to see the replacement canvas options as I've been seam sealing for a few years (around the windows mainly) to keep it dry. The original canvas is really substantial and plasticised so it only leaks at the seams,, but newer canvas options seem to be more like cotton duck, which i fear would leak if very wet?

I’m afraid I don’t know!! I went to my paint shop and looked through colours and guessed!! It turned out ok though!!

love the new design for the rear bed platform, we're in the process of doing our T25 at the moment (still at the empty shell managing rust and bodywork) but definitely wanting to get this when we're ready and was something we were looking to customise from your original design. When will this design become available?

i notice you dont have the original hinges on your rear platform. is that cause they dont work properly? cause the ones that came with mine are useless and dont hold the hatch open. :(

Would you consider a Wallas XC Duo? Does two jobs in one.... It's a hob cooking surface. Then shut the lid, and it's your space heater.... Does away with any gas work / certs etc, And, for the majority of vans, you have the fuel already installed.

This is amazingly well timed as I've nearly finished my new t5 conversion with an almost identical layout. I have the units set up the same with bare ply wood and sliding doors along with a full rock and roll bed. I'm trying to decide how the best way to make my kitchen pod easily removable and was wondering how you did yours. I'm looking at using a threaded holes in the van wall and thumb screws bolting through the unit.

We’ve used clamps on both sides. I’ve considered screws in the floor, but would mean you’d have to make provisions for fastenings and storing things within the same space
