Funny how everyone else's Derringers are "very accurate". Everyone who says that never has a video proving it. I bet if you were shooting for shit at 15 yards you couldn't catch a wiff.
@@gunfzx Not yet but he recently got a Jennings J22 and the weather is conducive to a three gun shootout. Maybe this weekend. You have a natural way of speaking that makes your videos interesting and entertaining. Keep them coming.
Bunson Honeydew - Enjoy the shootout and thanks for the compliment. I often consider quitting since it’s totally not worth my time but i just finished another one for next week on my rusty Bulgarian Makarov.
Amusing ... I have both and within seconds you went against the instructions that came with each gun - " Davis " never dry fire gun for any reason ..... NAA All loading & unloading is to be done at 1/2 cock
To be honest with both of you, any gun not capable of being dry fired isn't one you should bet your life on. There are at least a few really small 38s, 380s and a couple 9s that will disappear in a pocket.
@@FoulPetIt's a rim fire... Are you dumb or just one of those guys? MODERN rim fire and only SOME can be dry fired. Davis is from the 90's. Get over yourself guy
I had the Davis 9mm as a first pocket gun, the lower always gave me issues. I have two Ana’s one in 2” 22 or and the other 21/2” 22 mag. Love them. The mag has a much harder trigger pull, but it’s a great little gun.
My dads got a .380 acp derringer and the bottom barrel has a hard time firing. I think it’s just the design or execution. That ones made by cobra arms. But yes, the trigger on those is horrendous 😂
I've given my missus strong hint what I want for Christmas -the naa is so much smaller and lighter than any of the derringers I've looked at...and in .22lr we (maybe get one for each of us!), can practice all the time...Our home defense weapons simply too big and heavy to stick in pocket, and especially for her, being bothered in Wal-Mart parking lot or such the most likely scenario, and one of these in her pocket would probably fit the bill...
@@gunfzx I own the DAVIS derringer the same size as your derringer, but mine is in the powerful .32 acp caliber. I never have misfires with my DAVIS derringer. Centerfire ammunition is ALWAYS more reliable than rimfire ammunition. If you take your pistol to a good gunsmith they can make your DAVIS trigger pull much better & lighter. ⚠️ You can buy a optional DAVIS .32 acp barrel and firing pin breach-plate for your derringer so you can shoot .32 acp ammunition .
How do you hold that thing? I just couldn’t figure out a way to hold it that worked for me. Maybe that frame is a bit larger? Sounds like the 32 is a compromise between the tiny 22 magnum and a 380? I’d carry an LCP II in 32 if they made it.
I lost interest when I saw the differences between the two (one in Magnum, the other with the much better option for gripping.) Would have enjoyed a LR-to-LR comparison with original birdshead stocks on both. Still, I'd take five of the weaker round over two of the stronger. That Wasp is certainly a handsome little piece, but I prefer the birdshead stocks, and the available boot stocks even more (the latter is what I have on mine.) Thanks for sharing.
I agree with 5 shots over 2, however, accuracy has nothing to do with the guns themselves, considering that they have the same caliber but the "Derringer" has longer barrels then the revolver, the Derringer should be more accurate, the reason that it's not has nothing to do with the gun but has to do with the shooter adjusting to the pull of the trigger.
