When I was 24, I moved far, far away from my home my mom sent me a tape with this song on it. She knew I was scared, anxious and alone and knew this song would motivate me and pick me up. She was always my biggest fan. She died last year, suddenly, of Ovarian cancer. I travelled back home to help sort through her belongings. As soon as I sat at the table to look through her photo albums, this song came on the radio. I know it was her sending a message. I miss her so much.

This is one of the greatest motivational songs ever written. We need to play this song to our children when they fall over and start crying or get beaten in sports or exams or whatever other pursuits they undertake and become disappointed. I'm glad that this song has stood the test of time.

Woke up this morning lying in bed thinking of this song and its lyrics. I dont know why it came to me but I believe it's for a reason. When she sings "all I know is love will save the day" I believe it's meant that self love will save you. So love yourself a little more because you cant look to exterior "things" to make you happy (other people including even family and friends, places, money, things of the world) only self love can save you.

What a great song. This song brought such joy and strength to my heart on leaving school and I played it 1,000s of times. My friends loved it too. I recall hearing it played at a few venues after graduating and lots people enjoying it. I still love it. Thanks Des'ree, from my heart. ❤️

My mother passed away in 2021 she was 67 years old The first time I heard this song I was 9 years old I'm 33 now I've cried every single day this pain is unimaginable I don't know when it's ever going to end but it helps listening to this song cuz reminds me of her this was her favorite song and her favorite artist I would give anything just to hold here touch even smell my mother again when does the pain stop when do you get hope back how do you get out of the dark place

I also lost my mother in 2021. Some days are better than others, but not one day goes by that I don't think about her. We talked all time, we some what worked in the same field and she was my biggest supporter. I wish I could tell her so many things that has transpired in the past few years. That pain you talk about is real, however I still try to walk with my head up everyday and continue to do what made her happy. It's tough, but we'll get through it...
