Matt, great video. Just had a chance to look at it. One of the things I liked about it was you weren’t afraid to say that you were on the American river,most channels just say something very vague like the mother load or South Oregon. It really doesn’t give much information about where you’re going. Don’t need exact details, Just the fact that you found it on American River is great.

Now this is what I would like to see on a Gold Rush type show ...well presented. ...a different miner each week showing what we micro miners really do. No big machinery ... just the basics ... maybe there would be less angst against us

@@MountaineerMatt my first day here on a claim club I pulled almost 3 grams out of a dip/pocket/whatever in the bedrock that wasnt visable because of overburden. The dip was around 2 feet deep and a foot wide. 2 quarter gram flakes/pickers at the bottom

But all & all you done a really good job. I know I'm ready to pack my bags n head west. After that one I went down to NC last weekend & highbanked for like 36hrs in total n got around that much. And I worked my a** off. Lol your so lucky you have no idea. Lol im trying to find work out there & in Oregon, so hopefully this time next year I'll be that lucky son of a gun. Wow great video! I just found you a year later 😆. I'm in so cal and I make a trip up that way every year.last year was my first year on the American and I loved it. Didn't find much but it was a great time anyway! The hike in and out was brutal at best and somewhat dangerous with steep inclines and slippery ground. Bedrock everywhere but picked clean! I love sniping first then I start looking for places to dig 😆 I was north of mineral bar but it wasn't worth the effort to get up in there! Anyway I will be heading back up that way soon but have my eye on a different stretch of the american! I enjoyed your video and hope to find a spot like that in my future! The yuba is a great place. These pans were very nice but you have to hike to hell and back to get there. Almost not even worth the effort but it sure is beautiful on this section of the river
