Baltes is a highly respected German company that goes back to the 1870's Following reunification in the early 1990's, German forces gearing up for overseas deployments
Thanks for this video, as it is the only one featuring these boots! Did you have any issues with the polyurethane soles yet? Because a common problem problem with the 2000s Bundeswehr boots is that the sole falls off.
Hello, not actually used that much yet because I do not find them very comfortable, the only thing I have noticed so far walking on block paving in the Middle East is that they do seem to be wearing the soles out pretty quickly I will most likley be using them more on a future visit so we will see how they go Take care out there
These must make great safari boots... for the more arid areas of Africa. Not that I support hunting for sport, but there's just something special about Africa. This sense of immense space...a timeless continuity... anyhow, doesn't matter. I like them. And if I could, I would buy them.
My feet measure 26.5 cms (with thin office socks), i wish to buy these very same german desert boots, and wanted a snuggy but comfortable fit on thin socks... so dont want that thick socks extra inches. 1) what size should i buy them in? 2) where can i buy them today online? 3) normally wear UK 7- 8 .
Sorry for the delayed response I have only just seen your post, looking at conversion tables 263 is a UK size 8 The company I purchased my pair from do not appear to have any left for sale but they do have lots of other Desert Boots I will post a link for your information Take care out there www.surplusandoutdoors.com/shop/outdoor-footwear/desert-army-boots.html

Hello thanks for your input, I am on a visit to the Middle East and today I have been wearing these boots, first time since 2017 ! very strong but not very comfortable on hard surfaces, the more modern Desert boots by Haix, Iturri, Meindl are much more comfortable Take care out there
Hello on the conversion table a UK size 10 is listed as 280, 275 is more a 9.5 , So I guess 275 might be to small. Also I would add that these are not the most comfortable of Desert boots, the boots by Haix, Iturri or Meindl are a better option Take care out there
Dear sir, My feet measure 26.5 cms (with thin office socks), i wish to buy these very same german desert boots, and wanted a snuggy but comfortable fit on thin socks... so dont want that thick socks extra inches. 1) what size should i buy them in? 2) where can i buy them today online? 3) normally wear UK 7- 8 .
Hello not sure if these are still available, the shop that I purchased a pair from no longer lists them, I will post a link to this UK shop that does have a lot of other Desert boots. The Baltes boots are not the most comfortable of boots, they do not have any midsole cushion, ok on soft surfaces like sand but if you intend using them on hard surfaces like a concrete path then they ae not comfortable. Boots by Haix , Menidle or Iturri are better. re size the Baltes boots are on the narrow size so you could use them with thin socks but again thicker socks can help a bit with the lack of cushion Hope that helps Take care out there ://www.surplusandoutdoors.com/shop/outdoor-footwear/desert-army-boots.html
@@ontherunplmr1218 sir, thank you for your reply. However can you guide me on the size part in regards to this particular shoe type and make. I am 26.5cms foot length. Normally wear 41 - 42 . Please advise what size should i buy them in for snug fit. (Not roomy but comfy)
The most accurate system for shoe/boot measurement is the Mondopoint measurement system I have included a link to how the various systems compare. I guess for you size 42 work work well with normal socks not walking socks these boots tend to be on the narrow size. Some European countries/Army's i.e Swiss use the Mondopoint system which measures both length and width www.internationalshoesizes.com/mondopoint.htm Hope this helps Take care out there
Hello I have only covered around 100 km with my pair, they are very similar in sizing to the Jungle Boots ( I have replied to your other request ) so for me a little on the narrow size but they are still wide enough for me as a UK 9 wide Take care out there
