I wonder when David will appear on Match of the Day to give us his top 10 goals of the Premiership. He has repeatedly stated that he doesn't 'get' music, and once said that "Music is shit", with only a degree of comic iconoclasm. He has (famously, thanks to WILTY) only attended 1 concert in his life (Shirley Bassie) and owns just 2 albums, one of which is by Susan Boyle (!!!!). I really like his work but this was clearly just an excuse to 'do a bit of radio'. Then again, why not? It's work after all.

This is from 2009 so he was probably promoting himself to some degree. This is really a short form interview show, with the music to break up the questions and make the interviewee feel a bot more comfortable. He needn't play music either - Roger Moore had a Bob Newhart sketch and a comedy song. Just because he is not big into music, doesn't mean he likes nothing at all.
