Water is running out in Iraq, a country where nearly more than half of the territory is considered at risk of desertification. Year after year, the situation is becoming worse and worse. Meanwhile the vast desertified areas create an environment prone to sandstorms - a destructive and dangerous phenomenon for the people living there. Lina Malers and Marie-Charlotte Roupie report.

The Levant was once the most fertile river valley in the world. It was so benign and perfect for human settlement that it became the model for early civilization. The place ain't what it used to be.

The reason of course are all the Turkish dams upstream on the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. They want the water and to break this part of the world economically. Turkey is a NATO ally, so a White Western news source is not going to mention the real cause of the lack of water.

Sorry, in this case climate change is not the culprit. Turkey has been diverting teh water of both the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. In other places climate change may be the primary cause, but not here.

I think that every single person all 100+ could come over here to Western Massachusetts. It's more farm country out here. It's not big city, but if you want to go to the city for school, some kind of culture museums then that's possible. I don't see why we can't, welcome a whole city over here into our communities. We are very diverse out here on many levels with the old way still hiding out.... anyhow if I had the power, I would start bringing people over. I appreciate the broadcast.

@@imtheeastgermanguy5431 The real reason for the drought is that Turkey has been diverting the water of both the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. They get irrigation water and support America's crushing of all those brown people.
