without a doubt....i am hoping their hand gets forced via a suspension from the NFL because whether it is the coaching staff, GM or whoever, they don't have the balls to bench him. Personally, I think the Haslems are telling them to play him no matter what, tying their hands.

Yes, I mean this season is basically a wash, Watson needs to feel the pressure. Fix the offensive line, Jed Wills has not worked out and Conklin is always hurt. The dropped passes aren't going to win us any games and let's not even talk about penalties 😅.

I recently read an article in which a former teammate of Watson’s in Houston said that Watson never took responsibility when things went badly …… Watson’s former teammate went on to say that Watson always blamed others for his failures. You are absolutely correct, Watson is not a leader. Making $2.7 Million Dollars a game doesn’t make him a leader (and we can’t even discuss his probable character flaws) Worse trade in NFL history !!!!

Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski must go as their ability to select talent has left the building! I am sure if they were spending their own money Deshaun would never have been a choice. Deshaun will not emerge, in the NFL, as an elite quarterback as long as he and his off field antics continue. Seems that Jimmy needs to extricate his head from his behind and look at the talent his staff ran out of town as they flourish with other teams. Looks like 18 more years till the team makes and wins another post season game! CMON Browns let’s go…………away from Berry, Stefanski, and Watson!

The Browns made easily the most stupid deal in not only football history, but American sports history. The almost 2 years off depleted his elite skellset to journeyman level. This been disaster from the beginning. The best qb of the Watson era is Joe Flacco. It was the only time they looked like a fully realized.playoff level NFL franchise since Watson's signing.

I read an article this morning in which Eric Metcalf stated that he thinks Amari has Checked Out because of the trade rumors. He claimed that Amari did the same thing with the Raiders and the Cowboys amidst trade rumors. That’s why his trade value was so low.

I have a lot to say on the matter. Stefanski and Berry must be held responsible for being irresponsible with OUR TEAMS future. Does that mean firing? I honestly don’t know . Furthermore, this “Stefanski Offense” is a joke. An offense designed by a supposed offensive master shouldn’t depend on an elite QB. This right here is a fireable offense in my opinion. I think Berry is safe, despite the awful deal he made to acquire Watson. Despite all that, he has still done a good job acquiring other talent and managing the cap space. Now for Watson. DO NOT bench this fool. He needs to wear the failure like a cheap suit. I despise this man, he is no leader, he is not even a good QB anymore. Force him to play, then at the end of the season, get rid of him. Pay whatever needs to be paid and get him out of here. As for the rest of the team… Fire Sale. Get as much draft capital as possible for next year. Let the guys go who want to go. There may be some who want to stay and see the “remodel” next season. Let them stay.

How can you say Berry should be safe because of his talent acquisition and cap management?!? His drafting has been "fair-poor" at best! His first #1 pick at #10 OVERALL-Jed Wills is a major disappointment and won't get a 2nd contract. Only ONE offensive starter from the last FIVE drafts! That's very poor IMO! As for cap management...Berry's continual re-structuring of Watson's contract now has committed $143M for the NEXT TWO YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The team is hamstrung by this AWFUL guaranteed contract!!! The architect of this WORST TRADE/CONTRACT IN NFL HISTORY, should be summarily FIRED, but wait till season's end so he can be embarrassed by the mess HE created!

It's literally the same team. They had offensive line struggles last year as well, and they UPGRADED at receiver. It's just Deshaun, man. Watch, whenever they finally decide to play Jameis, you'll see this offense run at least slightly below average and not DEAD LAST. Deshaun can't go beyond his first read... he is BROKEN.

I'm not a Browns fan, but I've watching closely seeing if Jimmy Haslem and Paul DePodesta could turn this team around. I think it more than fair say that the answer is no. It clear that they do not have a clue as to how to run a football team. It clear that the owner is getting all the wrong advice or that he freelances it and make's bad choices.

Petey, A few minutes ago you said we have a talented roster or at least talented enough to have won more games. Agree that drafts have not been very good. But AB will forever be identified with the Watson trade. Like you, I think AB is safe. Stefanski needs to give up play calling. But to who? Dorsey’s offense is failing …. So not to him. Right now, the offense is a mess.

If I thought we had a chance to make the playoffs, I would rather see James Winston. The season is over, I’d rather see DTR play. we are going to be in salary cap hell for the next few years because of Watson‘s contract. if we can get cheap serviceable play at the QB position while we build our team back up through the draft, it might be our only option.

I think it might have been Haslam who forced the issue with Deshaun more than Berry or Stefanski. I think they were both on board to a point, but got off the crazy train when he said he didn't want to be a Brown & was only considering Miami or Atlanta. I believe Jimmy wouldn't take no for an answer an opened up his ego & checkbook to "MAKE" it happen (again ego). But they are going to pay the price for it because you can't fire the owner...Unfortunately 😡. Nobody is innocent in all this mess!

Berry hasn't drafted well but he has put a team on the field, that on paper should be a top 10 team. Stefanski has done a good job really but this offense doesn't fit him, our offensive line, our team. The scheme is wrong. Watson, the line played better lining up under center and running the ball and doing playaction. Defense is tired being on the field. But it's the morale that's making them playing down from last year. Stefanski isn't getting fired, berry isn't going anywhere. Just signed extensions. Berry drafted well for the Texans lol. Look, check the percentage of teams completely winning the drafts. If you get 2 or 3 future starters your lucky. That's what drafting is.."luck" gotta stop looking for diamonds in the rough. Take best available. But you never know who will translate their talent to the nfl.

Browns treated the first four regular season games as pre season games this year, having chosen to protect starters all preseason and not providing any snaps to drive timing with new system. So what we have seen is the Browns starters in preseason mode, when other teams are in regular season mode.

Listen, it’s not all on Watson, but he cannot read it a defense and he hold the ball way too long and only thing he do is doing all these short passes. Let’s put Winston in. Let’s see what happens. Stefanski made it work with so many QBs since his tenure here and for the life of me, I can't figure out why he can't with Watson. If you gonna be all in on him then let Dorsey try some things. Yeah, his tenure with Buffalo was bad but at this point, who cares? Stefanski can't make it work. Might as well try Dorsey. And if he can't then I say, bench Watson. The fans can holler all they want but Browns are just gonna keep try to see if they can get their money worth out of Watson, regardless of what happens

Only thing that I see that has really changed this year compared to the last couple is who’s now under center. I feel like the team doesn’t want to play for watson for whatever reason. Granted there are some issues surrounding key player injuries. But we dealt with that sort of stuff last year and the year prior. Only difference is Watson is under center full time. I have faith in Berry and Stefanski.

Are you not watching the game? The O line is not giving Watson enough time to throw coupled with the browns receivers are 2nd to last in time to seperation in the league. That equals not being able to pass the ball period. Add to that the drops and injuries there you go.

I think the benching of DW$ will end up being a power struggle between Stephanski, the front office and the Haslams. That being said, if our OL can't pass protect then it really doesn't matter who we play as QB.

Fire Stefanski. And part ways with Paul Depodesta. No QB has had consistent success under Stefanski. Baker had on decent (not great) year, then he looked terrible. Baker looks much better now that he's not in Stefanski's offense. How are you arguing that Jacoby Brissette had any "Success" here. Did we make the playoffs that year?, did Brissette throw for 4,000 yards and 30 TD's? No? then that's not really success is it? Lol Baker looked like trash here. When Flacco was the QB he had a defense he could lean on. Flacco looked awful in that playoff game against Houston. He looks better in Indy because he has shane steichen as his HC. How can we argue that any QB has had real official "success" in this offense?? Fire Stefanski, and give the keys to Dorsey, so we at least know what we have. Horribly ran organization. We have a baseball analytics guy in charge of Berry and our HC. GET RID OF DEPODESTA AND FIRE STEFANSKI.

I kind of feel bad for the offensive line. They're playing some backups and aren't playing their best games either, but on some plays Watson just straight up slides the protection the wrong way. He doesn't see blitzes right in his face he needs to check down from. I get why people are rightly criticizing the WRs and Line, but Deshaun is making their job impossible.

During the 12 men on field, why not just tap the TE or Ford and tell them to sprint off the field and call something? They still had like 20 seconds left when he's realizing this and instead of fixing it, he just walks off the field. The situation wasn't on him, but he could have fixed that.

DW is not going to be benched until the Haslems are fed up and decide this trade was a bust and bench DW. In the interim, the locker room dynamics will change for the worse as long as DW is at the helm. The defensive side of the team thinks it falls on them to win games cause the offense can’t seem to do it… So why bother running their selves ragged. The non-cohesive play will continue.
