No and sad to see the revolving door of failed quarterbacks spin around again but there are so many other issues this will be like bringing the edmund fitzgerald back from the depths and try to fix and refit it into service with the ghosts of the disaster still evident. I have been a Browns season ticket holder for over 35 years I’ve been through 0-16, 1 - 15, Ray Farmer, Hue Jackson. Johnny Manziel, “Bottle Gate,” “Helmet Gate,” “The Drive,” “The Fumble” and on-and-on, but I have never seen the Browns in such a situation as they currently have. We don’t even know if the fans will boo or celebrate when the Browns take the field when they return home after the Eagles game. Next time we select a QB, much more due diligence will be required. And I don’t buy into the OLine and dropped passes excuses. The players are professional athletes and every NFL team faces those issues to one degree or another. Well, it’s still Go Browns for me. I hope we upset the Eagles Sunday …… I have a bet on the Browns winning straight up without the points.

I wanna see dtr be gave a decent chance. Maybe give him 4-6 games and see what he can do. We kinda know what Watson and Winston are capable of. What they used to be good at. But dtr seems like he was only in 2 or 3 games if I'm not mistaken. DTr along with a healthy chubb. We never saw them together. Something different to give some air to the season.

I don't think he starts next season because I don't think he's still starting at the end of this one. I think they carry on this flapping attempt to make Watson work for another 2-3 weeks. There will be a win somewhere that pushes this down the line further and then back to back losses leading to benching due to locker room issue.

In this day and age, if you have a top 1-5 draft pick and you DONT have a long term QB solution, you almost have to pick a QB if they are available. If you go best player available, bring back Winston and win 6-7 games, you end up picking 8-12 in 2026 and still won’t have the QB position settled. Unless you have a guy like Garrett in your sights, I’d say pick the QB everytime until you are set long term, then build around them in the coming years.

I would take the best offensive player available, because of how awful theirs is. I love RB Ashton Jeanty, Boise State, but not that high. Maybe trade down a bit for more picks, then take him around 10-12 range. OL is critical too.

Ugh. So many of these options were laughing stocks when Baker was in town. Is this really what it's come to again -- overpaying for an average QB based on a few good games, after several years of average performance? Has the Watson experience taught us nothing? WIth this start to the season, Cleveland just blew up its reputation as a trade/FA destination. With the dead cap problem, Watson's here to stay. Otherwise, the only chance is the draft.

Starting to think they lost their identity getting away from the run game , anyone else agree? Think about it they tried switching over to a mostly passing offense, hasn’t worked well . They used to run the ball and win, pass when needed ! And it wasn’t all that long ago either Can’t expect to do much with an injured line either, everything on offense starts up front ! Idk why they don’t go and grab top tier offensive line and get depth at O-line . Would likely solve a lot of the problems they have .

I think he starts through 2025 and we accumulate high draft picks. We should trade Garrett, Ward, and basically anybody on a second contract b/c they won't be in their prime when replacement time comes. Just tank for the next two years, accumulate draft picks through trades, and ride Watson on the bench in 2026. Do whatever makes the most football sense, don't worry about Watson's ego and how to manage it. If worst comes to worst, send him home, keep him technically on the roster, pay him so he can't become a cancer in the locker room, but use his shittiness for this season and next to tank and get premium draft picks while saying cap hits.

Watson just settled his new law suit. The NFL is currently investigating, which should be made that much easier now that they've settled, but they have suspended players for less than settling such a law suit. If the NFL gives him a suspension, it opens the Pandora's Box, and the Browns will be able to void his remaining contract. Then, all of this salary cap etc., talk is a mute point. Her name was not on the required list of potential people that could come along as a problem. Watson would fight it, it would end up in court, and everything about that is easier and cheaper than keeping him on as a QB. If and when they void his contract, AB is gone right along with him, and they replace the head office with Vrabel (who is at least an Ohio guy and a football guy), Dorsey would get play calling responsibilities. They will start Winston and get what they can out of the remainder of this season (I'm sick of saying that about this team with all the talent they're wasting in their prime), draft an actual #1 QB (note, I didn't say a first round QB), bring in a veteran QB with the experience needed to groom him (Flacco would be a nice fit there)...and roll with Stefanski having a new head office and a VERY short leash. Vrabel will be waiting in the wings to take over as HC/GM (like Belichick)...or, now hear me out...they hire me as their GM, I pick the greatest QB since Otto Graham...Vrabel becomes HC, and we roll. Problem solved.

I expect some kind of suspension coming, despite the wishful thinkers that want to believe that the investigation isn't going to lead anywhere. That suspension, gives the team the opening they're looking for, if they're looking at all, as they should be.

I have been a browns fan for 60 years will never quit but refuse to kiss a** like you media types do when a bad deal is made! I predicted this when they made the deal but hope for the best out of Watson. You cannot name one player that no matter what age took a year off and come back good

Patience. Patience. First 2 years were a wash, so this is really his first year of hopefully playing a full year. Watson will get it together and we will finish with a good record, but may not make the playoffs. Then the next 2 years will be when we possibly make it deep into the playoffs. I'd be looking at darnold or another younger veteran that is available, not flaco even though I like him, maybe him and drafting a guy. Maybe check out that rocket in NE. Size, speed, arm talent but very raw. Urrrghh here we go again for a qb

Everything about Watson is disgusting and disasterous. He just settled the latest lawsuit. He hasn’t been a consistently good NFL QB …… much less an “elite” QB. I don’t care if Watson plays much better the rest of the season, to me, his whole character and presence is disgusting. BTW, the women who brought the lawsuits against Watson may have settled for money, but money won’t cure the pain they have and will suffer. To me, Watson has brought a situation to the Browns that winning won’t cure.

Flacco is not the answer after the performance he had in their playoff loss. Those interceptions in that game were just as bad a Watson's current play on the field. Some of you Cleveland Browns fans need a reality check. Try building a team that competes year end and out for Division title or a playoff birth. Cousins is not going to win a Championship either. He's just grifting NFL teams for the money like Watson has already grifted the Browns. Draft a rookie to develop in the long run. I'm a Browns fan too, but I'm a realist when it comes to athletics and competitive team sports.
