Hi Sunshines! M.A.D.CURLS is back with another wash day video! This video is more casual, they each had wash n gos in mind that they wanted to do, LoriAnne decided to reach back to the OG Mixed Chicks line and she brings a One & Done. TaylorAnne still excited from her recent 7 day wash n go with Eden Bodyworks Papaya and Castor line wanted to explore to see if another mousse and cream combination would give her the same amazing results, she uses some Design Essentials. I have a combination of 3A/3B and some parts 2C 🤷‍♀️) hair and everytime I've used the mixed chicks leave in I've gotten great results and get a lot of compliments on my hair. Great volume and defined curls. And I always used it alone with no stylers. But I barely use it, lol. And thank you for creating great content. I've learned a lot. I love your relationship with each other. Keep it up ladies!

I just tried the Mixed Chicks for the first time this week and I was shocked! Great product. Tip: CVS carries the mixed chicks. If you have the extra care card, check Your emails on Thursday’s they usually send you a coupon from 30% - 40% that you can use on on item. you can use this coupon to lower your out of pocket and if you have a CRT for hair products you can also pair that coupon and get the leave in for way cheaper. I get a lot of my hair products this way. Happy shopping 🛍😊

Tay you may like the Peach Black Tea Mane Choice mousse! It’s an awesome mousse and the smell is so Spring/Summer. Since there was no leave in or gel in the line I paired it with The PricklyPear Leave in conditioner which is also really good. The combo was very nice together. I didn’t think a mousse would work neither, but I really love the results with it.

Mixed Chicks was my first line of products when I went natural also... then I moved on to Shea Moisture... then Curls... then Mane Choice and that’s where I stayed for years until I came across your channel and decided to give other products a try. 🤗

Beautiful curls ladies. I love both products. I use the mixed chicks as a one and done and the design essentials mousse as a one and done and I got wonderful results. I got six days out of the mixed chicks and four days out of the design essentials mousse. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for this review and for starting to talk about summer products! I am looking and a lot of your old videos to try and find my summer styling go-tos! Will you do a video about up-do's or wraps and things you use to get your hair out of the way for summer? I always have the hardest time using wraps, they slide off my hair or give me frizz! Not a lot of silk lined products out there when you look for ball caps, wraps, bandanas and such!

The results are pretty good both wash n gos are a go. I don’t like strong smelling products either. I recently tried Mielle Organics Rosemary Mint line and that oil almost sent me to the hospital, it opened my pores up so much that I ended up getting the flu and I haven’t had the flu in over 20 plus years...you ladies are on a roll with these videos👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

TaylorAnne, I’d be curious to see you try the DevaCurl foam and the DevaCurl Elongating cream. I think their foam is definitely more of a styler (and hair must be soaking wet) but I wonder if you’d get the same lasting and soft wash and go as with Eden Bodyworks? Also the Alikay brand lemongrass foam with one of their stylers?

Great results per usual, ladies! And Tay, you should try Shea Moisture’s Coconut and Hibiscus Frizz-Free Curl Mousse and the Curl Enhancing Smoothie together. I’ve never tried this combo, but maybe you’ll like it! For the summertime, I like to keep things light and simple, yet long-lasting so I go for more leave-in-gel combinations like the Kinky Curly Knot Today Leave-In Detangler and the Kinky Curly Curling Custard, Cantu’s Curl Activator Cream with the Define & Shine Custard, and Camille Rose Naturals’ Fresh Curls (or the Almond Jai Twisting Butter) and the Curl Maker. I also recently bought the As I Am Leave-In (used before with other products) and Curling Jelly and The Mane Choice Tropical Moringa Sealing Cream and the Braid Out Glaze and I cant wait to try them! I’m hoping those can be added to my two-step summer wash and go’s! 🤞

I never tried Mixed Chicks before but I always see the sample size bottle on the shelf@ Target for like $3 Also, I don't do anything different specifically in Summer to style my hair. Since my hair is so highly porous I have to pay attention to humidity/ dampness in the air year-round, so I'll pick products going by that

Have you guys tried the Garnier Fructis Hair food masks? They are called "hair food" in Belgium, but I believe they are called "treats" in the US. They are a 3 in 1 (conditioner / deep conditioner / leave-in). I have, so far, used the banana one and it is amazing. I am going to be using the papaya one this weekend. If you already have a video on it, let me know! :)

They both turned out great! LoriAnne - it's good to have a simple one product routine that still turns out so nice and defined :) I love these two different wash n go videos. I ordered the Eden Bodyworks foam from Target (I have the curl jam but haven't used it yet). Can't wait to try them out!

Your hair looks lovely as always. I'm going to order that Rice Vitaman Butta Shampoo by Soultanicals to go with the Follicular Rice Tonic spray. Seems like a good combo. It wasn't in stock the last time I ordered. I used the Marula-Muru Guru without a gel on top by mistake and, to my surprise, it worked out fine (I finger coil my hair then separate). I've used Design Essentials and Mixed Chicks years ago, along with Miss Jessie's and Carol's Daughter. I've been off and on the natural hair care journey for over 10 years, but I think I will not relax my edges or blow dry as much this time.😊❤

Mixed Chicks was my first curly hair product when I was testing my curly hair waters years ago. Always liked it. At that time it was the first "one and done" because that was all I used. I loved the shampoo and deep conditioner as well. I still have the leave-in, just haven't used it lately because we have so many other brands now. Both of your results are good. I am very selective with purchasing any new products, especially with the summer coming, because I do not want to purchase anymore products with glycerin in them. I learned a lot from last summer when to use my products that contain glycerin and our humid summers are not the time to use them.

I tried the Mixed Chicks leave in on my type 4, low porosity hair but it made my scalp itch, I got some on my scalp near my temples. My hair looked great but I had to wash it out.

Angela I believe it was their foam leave-in and their curl jam. Which is the combo I did. My mistake was putting too much leave-in and not enough of the curl jam. I need to retry it another time and get the ratio right. A little of each product goes a long way

my hair doesn't like this mousse! try the aussie mousse! it had hold! i normally do mousse and gel or mousse , cream then gel. creme of nature coconut milk mousse is great and lotta body foam.

Omg so much definition from you both!!🙌🏿🙌🏿💙💙😎😎 these wash and gos are perfect!!! I even see people put foams/mousse in between a leave in and gel. So its leave in, foam/mousse, then gel! She said it helps preclump the curls and gets ride of flyaways to lay that cuticle DOWN lol! That may be something worth trying!! Also some great combos I love in the summer are: Low porosity leave in detangler/ extra moisture leave in detangler and the curl maker. Camille rose Honey leave in and the curl maker. The camille rose coconut water leave and wetline extreme gel Soultanicals Slip N Slide hair glide/knot sauce and wetline extreme gel.
