This table arrived well packaged and on time. ru-vid.comUgkxn94T8Mu1iMnsLCMNOI9srXSsLkI4JXKW Like another reviewer advised, I pulled everything out and made sure everything was included (everything was!). I built it alone and it took me about an hour. The color is great and for the price the lift part works well. As others have mentioned, it’s not the smoothest opening/closing, but it works. The screws do show, but I plan to order white sticker covers if that bothers us too much. Really happy with this table! UPDATE: it’s been over a year since we got this coffee table and we still love it! It gets HEAVY use as our dining table, foot rest, and school desk. Over time, the opening and closing mechanism has gotten smoother. I added a new photo with the white screw cover stickers. They blend in perfectly and make it look a little cleaner. 100% recommend!!!

Really connect with this video. My grandparents were in the Air Force and lived overseas, specifically in Iran for many years. I have TONS of brass and beautiful pieces. They don't all go together, but I'm pulling it together through color and textures. Your video was very easy to understand. I'm a man who knows little about decorating, who recently bought a Spanish Revival mansion and I'm watching your videos to learn what I can do with this house. "Shop your home" ... Awesome tip, and I have a tip to add to it for people who live in the same city they grew up in. Shop your old home, your mom's home!!!!!!! My mom stores everything. She has old old old stuff, vintage treasures, and she just loves it when I find something in the closet that hasn't seen sunlight in 60 years and I take it to put it in my den. I recently found a 1920s leather and metal film camera, one that you wind up. I have even found old metal toys of mine that look so artistic today. Shop your home, yeah, and you're old home too! There are decorative treasures there that you won't find in stores and that absolutely tell your life story. Greetings from screwed-up-by-socialism-but-still-here Caracas, Venezuela. Life goes on...with a smile.

Shop your home first! The other day I took my white-washed wood bin out of my bathroom and put it in my sitting room next to my gray wicker chair to hold magazines in. So, move your decorative items around from room to room. Also, I've never seen an open bookshelf in front of a large window before.

@@JulieKhuu As a mother to a toddler myself....I have one word. Velcro. Saved my faux plants and candles soo many times! You can buy lanterns from Ikea and put led candles inside. Then velcro them to your table/surface. I also put his toys in cute containers with lids on my coffee table/TV stand. I have learned that kids need a space in our common areas to call their own. Maybe a cute tent with lots of fun items or a crawl thru. It lets them feel welcome and that they can relax without hearing the word no so often!

Definitely use trays as a solid surface Victoria! So easy to remove when you’re ready to kick back and relax! Look for a large enough one a little smaller than the size of the ottoman for scale

Hi, first time writing to you. After 5 years we finally started decorating our house on we new pieces. I pick a leather sectional traditional, no country style ir too modern. Its a deep caramel color. I want to add a round coffee table and a side table. My question is...both table havebto be the same? Another question, is okay to add real contemporary piece like lamps, tables?

No, I actually prefer that they don’t match. Just complementary- maybe in style, but not finish.

I’m a self taught decorator and I love it ! I’m a retired hair stylist / salon owner . Although I have decorated for years with varying styles , and I’m eclectic , when I buy my Florida home on the beach , and I may go completely with this look in my current home to see how I love it , I’ve always wanted just , whites , creams , linens , cottons , of course I paint the furniture .. but I love all whites , creams and plants ..
