Sir actually what our faculty told is that the design procedure of both slab type and slab-beam type combined footing is the same only the difference is that in slab type we should not do the design of beam step and the rest procedure are the same is that correct sir?

Is it okay to just calculate required area of footing without adding 10%? Does vtu give marks for further steps?
