I’ve got some error while making the circular pattern of the fillet, then it was solved by checklist the geometry pattern at the bottom. It’s a really helpfull video for my homework, thanks
It clearly does not. He used a constrained circle arc, that' s all. That' s weird, because he knows about the pressure angle, but he clearly doesn't touch the involute aspect of the curve, which is definitively not a circle arc. I think it's more a gear for viz and whatnot than anything
Instead of making an involute profile, you have drawn a simple arc which is completely wrong. Also you are confused between Dedendum and working depth In reality Dedendum is greater than working depth by clearance value which you just reversed. Please correct these otherwise anyone watching this video will be totally confused
There is some problem with this design method. When i make two gears of same type with this method, and match there pitch circles, the teeth of both gears overlap each other indicating a problem in this design.
It's a little too late now but anyway, the equation basically said if the module variable's value is greater than or equal to 1.25 mm, then let that if statement resolve to 2.25 or else it will resolve to 2.4. this number will then multiply with the module that was mentioned before the if condition.
for gear profile you had created a sample arc, in Engineering there are some rules and constraints to create an inter changeable gears , it seems that you don't studied engineering proper way. can you explain is this gear inter changeable, will it produce constant speed. you know solidworks 3d modelling very well but that is not the qualifications for design a gear well please correct this video or remove the video otherwise younger peoples may be misleaded
This design is not suitable for real life uses, as every gear with different teeth count turns out different teeth shape and not meshing properly. Wasted my time to only find out this. real gear design is so more complicated but thanks i guess
