In this video we talk about the concept of design thinking, a dynamic problem-solving approach centered around users. It emphasizes understanding user needs, brainstorming solutions, building prototypes, and testing them iteratively. Design thinking fosters human-centeredness, iterative improvement, prototype-driven design, and solutions orientation. It's applicable across various domains, from product design to process improvement.
We include here design thinking's role in project-based learning, where students engage in discovery, ideation, experimentation, evolution, and deployment. Unlike traditional methods, design thinking places responsibility on students to define problems, fostering critical thinking, adaptability, and effective collaboration. In each stage: discovery, ideation, experimentation, evolution, and deployment, we emphasize student-led problem definition and solution development.
