One of the greatest minds of the 20th Century, Raymond Loewy the father of Streamline design, from the Cold Spot refrigerator to Sky Lab, his design was everywhere. He's most remembered for the amazing car designs he fostered. Dub version of 20th Century Fox propels us through this cavalcade of genius. copyrights respected fair use requested...

This video should be shown to every person in America , no the world at least once a month. The very essence of design genius. Thank you for putting it together. From locomotives to the coolest pencil sharpener. What could be more inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

I believe that Raymod designed cars for Rootes Group in Coventry, England. He must be recognised as one of the worlds greatest designers.

Just to be a bit pedantic, the Avanti that Jane Pauley presented was not a Studebaker Avanti, but a 1967 Avanti II produced by an independent company after Studebaker ceased production of them at the end of 1963. You can see the "Avanti II" nameplate on the front instead of just "Avanti". Also, there were no longer Studebaker engines available so the Avanti II had Chevrolet engines and transmissions. They wouldn't fit and the front of the car had to be raised a few inches. So the front rake of the car isn't as pronounced as a Studebaker, and body difference is most notable in the distance between the top of the front wheel well and the top of the fender blade. The Avanti II is several inches more in this area. There were some other exterior differences such as Avanti II's came with fog lights, a different style rear view mirror, and different wheels. The Avanti had no provision whatsoever for a front license plate and the example car has one mounted to the location where a rubber bumper strip usually mounts. Many just don't mount a front plate if they live in a state that doesn't require it. Or try to get away with no plate even if the state does. Or attach it for driving, and remove it at car shows. Loewy owned three Avantis, a 1963 in Palm Springs, a 1963 in France, and a 1972 Avanti II. He tended to put some odd personal touch on his personal cars. on the 1963 Avantis he added a big wide metal "V" (I think from a Cadillac) to the front. For the 1972 Avanti II he had a wide diagonal white stripe on each door. For his bullet nosed Studebaker, he put a little propeller on the front of the bullet nose.

What an absolutely awful version of The Door's '20th Century Fox". Some design is perfection, as Loewy taught us. It's too bad that some DJ's and musicians who constantly remake or remix the music of others haven't figured that out.

Hey T/T, I hear ya, to each his own, but perhaps consider the following, Jim predicted this kind of music and The Door's last hit was a dub piece? The other thing is the music fit the feeling I was looking for. I wanted an industrial sound, he was THE industrial designer of the 20th Century. Thanks for watching and for your valid comment. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sP2SRR17Gnc.html

Airbaja : I apologize if my comment has bothered you, I'm sorry I love your Channel , I had already heard that Jim Morrison said that music will be electronic in the future but it does not attract me this kind of music for personal tastes , so the Doors' s music repeats that way I don't like it. I understand that sound adapted to what you were looking for , anyway sorry. I really like your channel and the videos you apload .
