This 1937 Hupmobile, built by Hupp Motor Car Company in Detroit, is an early aerodynamic car designed by Raymond Loewy. His design credits include: Pennsylvania Railroad Locomotives, Studebaker, NASA, International Harvester, Frigidaire, Sears, Lucky Strike, Greyhound, Coca-Cola, Air Force One, Exxon, and Shell. We found this 1937 Hupmobile 618G custom rumble seat coupe at the Glenmoor Gathering in Canton, Ohio.

My father used to tell me his Uncle Fred had a Hupmobile in the 30’s. His uncle had some money, owned a bank and a few farms. Said it was a beautiful car

WOW, Dennis, that is a Real Classic! I have heard of Hupmobiles, but this is the first one I've ever seen. Raymond Lowe was sure ahead of his time when he designed this and he also did a fantastic job on the Studebakers.. Thanks for sharing this beautiful automobile, God Bless and stay safe.

When I was a young child in the early sixties we had a neighbor that was an old man who had a Hupmobile in his garage. He never drove it but once in a while he'd pull it out of the garage & wash it then return it to the garage. I don't know what year it was!! 👍

Very cool!! Although I don't know what model/year it was, I recall my late grandpa telling me that his first car (bought used, when he was a teenager), was a Hupmobile. Since it was used, I would assume that it was older than this gem. Gramps was born in 1915... so when he bought it, the year would have been around 1930-1932.

Really cool - Hupp is an interesting make, not many people know it - maybe a few for the Skylark because it of the Cord body. The cycle fendered Hupps were quite something, and the Model U was their shot at a a genuine luxury car, but the original 34 Aeordynamic just looked odd with the 3 window 'panoramic' windshield, which they quickly toned down.
