Dr. Ross is so much of a higher thinker than we are, but how amazing that he can speak in a way for us to understand what he spent so many years learning by the sweat of his brow.

science and creation do not compliment each other: god created the universe with laws that make them run well them just as he created humans with laws that make them run well (end up in the sabbath of eternity with him). science is the mere discovery of and understanding by humans of these laws that god created. it is sad that nature do not break these laws but man does. that is why from before creation god made jesus the provision for man's folly but also requires man to accept this solution and live by it.

The issue is that the word "earth" is used to render 'eretz' which refers to the land, a country/territory/region or its people, the ground or the soil. The biblical Hebrew word 'eretz' does NOT refer to our planet by name as the English word "Earth" (capitalized) does. Accordingly, the planet name "Earth" NEVER APPEARS in the Bible, not as a rendering of either 'eretz' (OT) and not as a rendering of 'ga' (NT). So Isaiah 40:22 is not talking about planet "Earth" AT ALL-not its shape, not its celestial mechanics, and not anything else pertaining to THE PLANET. Since "earth" (uncapitalized) is a nearly achaic word in current English usage a better rendering of the relevant portion of this verse would be 'the circle of the land'-phraseology probably used by Isaiah in this verse to refer to the 360 degree circular horizon which always en(compass)es you wherever you live or travel in our world.
