Personally I think it is a mixture of both. We all have a "specific" amount of money to clothes and we decide how to priortise it. I prefer designer tee's and sneakers where I for an example prefer to buy cheaper pants - great video as always!

If you're not bringing in tons of money and you style changes throughout the year, you can always sell what you no longer wear and buy newer things that fit your current style. A zara tee will be worth $5 after buying it for $30, while a Supreme tee will keep its value overtime and will easily make your $42-54 back (prices included shipping costs). It depends on the usage. Designer brand shoes, wallets, underseaters, belts, and small bags are the cheapest to own for me. I travel alot so they go through immense humidity, temperature, and pressure changes. The only leather items that will hold up are Gucci and Louis Vuitton.

i might be dumb, but when i go out to buy designer brands i normal try to find something i can get the most wear out of, not the branding on it. like i have a pair of ysl jeans, they are all black so i might as well just bought a pair in hm for 20 bucks haha, but when i decided to buy something as expensive as ysl i taught that i would be smarter to buy something i could wear on a regular basis, and also dress up/down not just "flex".

Hey Harrison , I like how you point out cheaper alternatives to their more luxurious counterparts, and I see how perplexing things were into explaining on how to justify spending money on certain looks. Your example of off white and how that specific look cannot have a cheaper alternative without the stigmatizing connotation that follows. But I feel as though when something is like a plain t shirt there is virtually no point in paying an outrageous price , even if one has s surplus of financial resources. In that context I don't think there is such thing as brand replication because a white t is a white t , and that goes for any type of essential piece of clothing. Fashion is a weird realm that centers around art and capitalism . Anyway Keep up the great content !

I don't really give a shit about hype, but when I cop stuff I'm usually thinking if I could sell it for roughly how much I got it for, so the price point isn't a huge factor to me as long as it's not outrages or stupid. You have to be careful because some designer shoes hurt. A pair of fendi shoes went in the trash automatic because it was like strapping a brick to my foot and playing stomp the brick and slice the heel.

TBH The only reason I buy hype shoes (designer brands) only is because i wouldn't spend over 200 on tees or pants but when it comes to shoes, its worth it.
