Awesome explanation Ian, great camera work too! Would like to hear from the opposite side (Bass Trombone concept) modernizations that Christan and you have discovered or came up with. Maybe a Bass Trombone concept update vid?

Love your playing Ian! I’m curious, what is the main differences between the Griego V line and your previous models, S5, S4 and S. I have them all and right now I like the S a lot, very different from all other mouthpieces I have, (though I feel a bit unstable in lower mid register. Lack a bit of core and slotting)

I'm glad you like these pieces. We adjusted the backbores and throats and the engagement (how far it goes into the leadpipe) on the new series. The cups are also different on the new O & Classic lines. The rims on the V&O remain the same as on the S series.

Great, thanks for your answer. For the rim size, what would be closest to the S? Is that the V3? For V3-V5, is the difference mainly the rim size going larger to smaller? Thanks!

Differencew is in cup diameter larger to smaller. The original S is large so yes the V3 , C3, or O3. V has most shallow cup, O the deepest, and C right in the middle.

What parameters would you recommend for a mouthpiece that helps with the high register ?

Shallower cup is the main thing to help upper register. You can get volume from width of cup, but with a shallower cup you will have an easier time in the upper register.
