It’s interesting seeing treats from other countries, I’d like to try three musketeers and butterfingers, I’ve never heard of them, we don’t have them in Australia. Also the packaging of the starbursts is so different!
ah! how cool! that always fascinates me too, the other way around! if you are a fan of peanut buttery treats, i would highly recommend butterfingers! its been my #1 this year. I can't stop eating them.
Funny, when I saw butterfinger I immediately pictured a man in a bright yellow suit. So you can imagine my surprise when Rin started drawing the same. I guess there's just something so overtly classy and sophisticated about a butterfinger huh. 🤣
I would LOVE to see you create a coloured version of the first M&M sketch you did, because I really love the position of all the characters. Wish I could draw people like that
I'd love to imagine that he's actually really clumsy and sweet (like a Himbo type character) and when he was younger his parents originally wanted him to play the violin or the flute but he kept dropping the instruments so they had to resort to piano playing.
"if you've never tasted a butterfinger, I feel sorry for you." Me: lives in a country where there aren't any of those sweets: Oh yeah, I'm sorry for those people
For future reference, someone who's a butterfingers is a clumsy person who drops stuff a lot. "You're such a butterfingers!" might be said to someone standing in the middle of a bunch of shards of broken glass or something. :) You don't hear it anymore, but it was common back when Butterfingers candy bar was invented.
Ngl it hit me personally when the Starburst twins were passed over for the MnM family lol. These all look awesome and it inspired me to go back to drawing myself. Keep up the good work!
I'm so happy ur doing this every year, of all the sketching videos that you post this series is my fav💜 because idk, it always feels nice to create a characters as candies and I always sketch a character with you in these videos. I made one last year and I promise to do this year too.
Hey Rin!! its crazy how exactly one year ago I started watching your videos. I remember clicking on last years turning people into candy and falling in love with you channel. You may not see this, but I just wanted to give you a mini thank you for keeping me happy throughout the year with your cheerful drawings. Love ya! 💕
Rin, here is a small message for you. You've been so kind and optimistic everyday, you make us laugh and feel bright on our darkest days, so I hope this comment makes you feel the best! You have made me loose my social problems, and I feel happy to share my art now, because of YOU RIN! When Im sick or sad, you upload and make me forget all my problems, you're a bundle of joy throwing happiness everywhere you go! When people are around you, they start smiling. Just know, you are the best, you were the best, and you will always be the best! Love you, Rin.
Stop being so emo, she draws people, she’s not a therapist. Go on LinkedIn if you want to share your feelings. Nobody wants to hear about this. And who the fuck is “us”?
omg This was literally the FIRST (I watched the 2020 version obvi lol) video of urs that I watched! This was the video that inspired me to start drawing people, to start drawing more seriously, to start my channel, basically everything! Thank you so much Rin for being such an inspiration to not only me, but sooo many other amazing artists! ALSO ITS BEEEN A YEAR ALREADY! OMG TIME WENT BY FAST, TOO FAST, IM TELLING YA
Wonderful candy conversions Rin! Yellow is the perfect suit color for the butterfinger! I used to do photo portraits, when I did families I would bring a Twister (the game) Matt and suggest a “wacky” or fun picture even if they did not pick it they loosened up to relax and enjoy the photo session and It allowed me to get some really sweet photos! That might be an idea for a group for next group for you! Excellent video and lovely artwork as well, keep going Rin! You are doing fabulous!
One of the best feelings ever is looking back at all those projects and pieces you wanted to do when you were younger, that you abandoned or never started because you weren’t skilled enough yet, and knowing that you’re able to do them now. You won’t. But you could, if you wanted to. (Slightly unrelated but I thought of this while watching the video and felt like sharing lol😌)
I love the m&ms siblings!! Your drawing style is incredible and your so creative!! Your inspire me to keep on, drawing and never give up until you reach your goal!! I love this video.. I need to try this!! Thank you for inspiring me!!
i'm not a candy person but i did something similar recently ! i drew my favorite drinks (coke, lemonade, things like that) as characters and gave them these personalities and everything. t'was a super fun time :D
Funny to read how same candy has different names depending on the place. 3 musketeers are called Milk Way over here. And what is Milky Way in the USA is called Mars over here.
Hey! Just got a fun idea! What if you did it the other way around, so you make your original characters into halloween candy❤️🤩 like for exempel Magma girl or Wheels 😇
Rin we need to see the sketch @ 22:00 in line art 🥺 the composition is amazing! Full of life I love it - edit. Both of those composition is the next level *chef kiss*
Hi, Rin!! I'm kinda new to your videos, but I absolutely love them!! I decided that this week I would draw a candy inspired series of my own, and I have the first one picked out, it's going to be a Candy Corn inspired witch. I think you are super inspiring, and I love watching your videos!! I was wondering, what do use for your.. what is the word.. Augh, the art you do on an electronic device. I've seen you draw on a computer, and I was wondering what platform you use, and how much it costs? I've been wanting to start a business selling my art, and was wondering if you had any pointers or suggestions for supplies I should buy or save up for. I don't know if you'll ever see this or answer my comment, but I think you're amazing, so keep uploading, please!!
Welcome to the channel! :D The most recent digital art video I saw, she appeared to be working in Photoshop. It looked like it might be Photoshop version 12 (CS5). PS is renowned for being very pricey, but you could look into prices for that version. Current Photoshop is $20.99 US dollars per month. I know she's done reviews of tablets and has lots of tips for digital art on her digital art videos (especially the older ones), but I don't think I've seen her make videos on different drawing programs. At any rate, wishing you the best of luck in your art career!
I feel like doing the same at some point. Cuz like…. I can imagine the snickers character being a big fat chonky guy, but he’s really nice, kind and heartwarming. He always makes sure friends and family are well fed, and end though he’s much bigger, he knows a lot about different foods, and can help you either become healthy and thin, bulk up for muscles, or become like him lol
I think this is one of my favourite videos of yours! It really shows your AMAZING creativity to turn anything into art- and even better a character! Thank you Rin xx :)))
Money is an issues that everyone has for a better and luxurious life. Life was hard for me Untill I started trading bitcoin and now earning $8,435 per week
can you do a part 2??? PLEASEEE? this was so good!!! but if you do another video can you include heath bars? i feel like that would be a cool color combo on a person!
I loved Ryan’s design the most! And all the kids are so cute and have a very fitting energy for the color you picked. Love how your characters always feel so real.
I need a low carb diet for health reasons, but Twix is always worth the extra struggle tbh. I usually don't bother unless it's Halloween though. You know, only suffer for special occasions. I love the m&m siblings!! I mean I love all of them but watching artists draw people interacting brings me joy
I'm sure it didn't mean anything to Waffles at the time, and most people probably saw it as just a cute drawing, but as a guy who grew up feeling like. . . well, like he wasn't worth much, and that men in general weren't worth much, I'm easily incited to emotion when I see men being portrayed in positive, masculine ways: Good fathers, older brothers, friends, protectors, hard workers. An older brother who is strong and playing with all of his siblings, using that strength of his that is also used to keep them all safe, that's a quality of a good man, and without good men there would be nothing. I always scoff at sentimental comments, but here's mine. Scoff away. We'll scoff together at that errant tear in our eyes.
