Before Javafx came along was it possible to create appealing UI? Becaise most of the videos I watch on Java have this windows 95 kind of interface and I'm new to Java and was wondering if it was programmers lack of graphic design skills or Java was completely incapable of this?

please , i make the cell in column Quantity in my table as follow : colquantity.setCellFactory(TextFieldTableCell.forTableColumn()); how can i put the cursor in this cell programmatically and put keyEvent . can any one help ?

I'm quite late, but all you had to do is to go to the library search and click on the gear next to it -> JAR/FXML Manager -> Search Repositories -> search for 'fontawesomefx-materialicons' and then simply install it!

They didn't mean JavaFX is going away. They meant it would become modular.

by import your code after run it give error Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: de.jensd.fx.glyphs.fontawesome.FontAwesomeIcon.() Using fontawesomefx-8.6.jar file compatibility issue or something else can you resolve it.

@@GrowthClinic nvm, I figured it out! But another question, where did you get the FontAwesome? I downloaded the fontawesomefx-8.9.jar from Jerady, but cant find the search icon. Which version do you have and where can I find it? Thanks for the replies!

@@GrowthClinic Still doesnt work... When I import the JAR/FXML Manager, and I select FontAwesome 8.1 JAR. Then the FontAwesome where you can choose different icons wont come up.

When trying to open your project on netbeans (java 8) i h ave probléme with the fxml file (even i did add the jars). Can you help me plz

the proble is that the UI.fxml is not editable on java scene on netbeans when i edit the fxml , all loines with fontawesome are on error form .. whene i delete the lines i could run the project but it doas'nt look awesome as it was made i added the necessary jar files (last libs avaible) Thank you man

Is the scene builder integrated with Netbeans? I am currently using Eclipse and don't believe that it has that functionality built into it. Maybe I am just missing something.
