I had to search deeply for a detailed tutorial on how to use MaterialFX! I was feeling frustrated and wondered how I couldn't find an explanation easily. Really grateful for this tutorial!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I know the MaterialFX will reduce the designing time but, I don't know how to use it. Now I can easily design my application.
Did the workflow changed a bit with the new versions? Last time I used materialfx I did not need to specify a seperate css file. I could use i.e. use MFXButton inside my fxml file and it showed up as expected. But with the latest version I have to call UserAgentBuilder.builder().themes(MaterialFXStylesheets.forAssemble(true)).setDeploy(true).setDebug(true).setResolveAssets(true).build().setGlobal(); If not, then the standard fx moderna theme is beeing used.
@@nitalukder2108 actually I'm a bit confused too. I started a new project with intellij and just added materialfx maven dependecy and it did not work. still moderna theme although I used MFX... components in FXML. Than I added mfxcomponents maven dependency and it worked. maybe that's the difference? meanwhile I swtichted to flutter... javafx is kind of dead. But the MaterialFX itself actually is a good piece of work and it looks really nice.
@@ponchobob If you don't mind, where did you get mfxcomponents? I've started a new project to see what the issue was with mine, added the Maven dependency for MaterialFX 11.17.0 and still, the MaterialFXStylesheets is inaccessible. I found a mfxcomponents 11.24.2 jar from mavenrepository but it looks like a separate, in-development library from the released MaterialFX.. mfxcomponents doesn't even have MaterialFXStylesheets but a separate enum called MaterialTheme, which is also inaccessible from my code.
Thanks so much now I can use this for my school project, can you also create a video on how to really use the scene builder, I have hard time trying set components the way I want it
Scene Builder er et visuelt layoutværktøj til at designe JavaFX-brugergrænseflader, det understøtter ikke Lambda expressions, men kun JavaFX-egenskaber og event handlers. Hvis du vil benytte Lambda expressions, vil det være i din Business Logic som er laget under dit UI :)
