I know you were going to art school,but were you only depending on art school art education structure? How would you advice someone to do it? The book is absolutely beautiful!! You can see the amount of time and effort you put into it, it's so delicate and magical! I love it!! I just found a wooden box at a charity shop, which is the perfect size for my watercolor tubes, and I was thinking about how I could decorate it, I have definitely got some ideas now!! Thank you for being such an inspiration, and I cant get over how incredible your book cover is!!

Wow Jess!!! Just wow!!! This looks like an ancient magic book. I would have never thought of gold foil… when you said the idea for gold I thought “oh gold leaf!”. This is MAGNIFICENT. I really admire how much you dedicated to this book cover! I wonder at the longevity of this process? Should you cover the gold with a gloss or mat medium? or maybe just Mod-Podge? I have done similar treatments to covers and they rub or wear off with use. SO important to protect it! I hope you show us how it wears and if you do cover it with a coating of some kind. This was so much fun to watch. And of course you had to go get something new ☺to try. Beautiful work. I'd go with a Midas artist brush leaving a trail of gold on one object on each painting. Like the edges of leaves, or whiskers on your cat (she is your best studio accoutrement) I'm new to your channel and really appreciate you sharing your skills. ❤
