What in the WHAT IN THE WHAT. This is amazing! I love how it's not just a finalised and typical studio tour but it really feels like we're in the process with you, and hearing your thought process greatly inspires me to think deep when upgrading my room or workspace. You are the man. Can't wait for the final look.
TRUTH BE TOLD. IN 2020, ONE OF YOUR VIDEOS INSPIRED ME TO A LIVE LIFE THE WAY I DREAM IT TO BE. YOU HAVE BEEN AN INSPIRATION TO ME AND HAVE LEARNT A LOT OF DESIGN TIPS. CONTINUE BLOSSOMING BRO💥
As a furniture maker myself, it makes me really happy when people are not afraid to get down and dirty and build something themselves, the process is so fun! Good luck!
You've seriously become one of my all-time design heroes. Thank you for starting this channel and sharing all of this beautiful content with us. Also, what is that gorgeous ringed dot paper notebook you're using?
Thank you so much for going through your design process. For some reason this always trips me up due to overthinking. I keep coming back to watch this video specifically over and over. Definitely a big fan of your channel and The Futur!
I appreciate the design process you’ve created for yourself because, while it’s structured, it allows for so much creative freedom. It’s great seeing your inner architect. I can’t wait for the rest of this series Matthew!
Wow Matthew, I was astonished by the ultra clean design in everything you create. And after a while I was like: wow, when will the tweaking be over? But the truth is: there is never a finish, new ideas will always be there and new ideas and inspiration should always be facilitated. Now you have a new canvas, with a whole set of new and lots of options: I'm really looking forward to your new journey: best of luck!
Nice to see you back! Love the tone of your videos as its very relaxing to watch and listen to. Cannot wait to see how this studio project is going to turn out!
Hello Eugene Tham dear friend I hope you are fine . I guess you are interested in architecture and villa design. If you are interested in these topics I'm glad you visit my channel Our team uploads new videos every day, I am sure you will like them
Awesome walkthrough as always, Matthew! Congrats on the new space and I can't wait to follow this series as it progresses. Love the thorough thought processes regarding design and function, and those renders are impeccable. Best of luck w/ the renovation.
Incredible studio - always so inspiring and thorough, I really appreciate you continuing to take us along the journey. Looking forward to seeing whats next!!
Probably adding round Sofa or round sectionals would work great, that way you cut the boxiness of the space and add more visual interest, that could also help you when having guests and a conversation area.
Ok all jokes aside wow this is the ultimate example of the saying “it’s not the destination, it’s the journey.” Something I need to constantly remind myself of. Amazing stuff Matt I can’t wait to see what you come up with, especially the rolling hidden cabinet 🤯?!
Some time I really loved your Videos but didn't like the voice. But I feel like you really improved with that. The videos now are way more pleasing and entertaining to watch. Keep up the great work! You are a really inspirational Person.
I don't know how far you are with the process but an idea of mine would be to build an elevated platform or 'island' that could serve as a hangout/work space since the room is quite tall, underneath you could use that space for storage (depending on how tall you build it) or double it as additional real estate for a cave styled room. By elevating some of the space in this office, you could give it an additional dimension and also you will get to utilise the windows more :)
Good idea. I was actually considering that. Could be a solution by the entrance. The challenge I had with that is it would be "fixed" as opposed to modular. Once I feel happy with the layout in my continued use for it, I might revisit the concept for some kind of elevated platform.
you won't believe but I used to check your Chanel almost on a daily basis to see if you have uploaded a new video or not although I have my notification on 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My home studio was kinda isnpired by Casey Neistat's crazy yet organized look. Grown tired over the years and have been inspired by your last home office build. Love your building/set up series, can't wait to see the office when finished!
Hey man! Great video! Treat as usual to understand your process. Just had one question. What was the idea behind having a chill space in the middle of the studio? Usually it's kept to the side, as to not disturb the workflow, but is there any particular reason you decided on the middle?
Wow, This is so neat! Did you do all of these renderings with just the shape builder app?? I am trying out new apps to 3d design my office as well. I am excited to see the final output 🤙🏼🤙🏼💪🏼
Thanks! The model making and layout for the office was done in Shapr3d, a new CAD program made for designing products and things you intend to build. For the renderings, animation, and detailed decor, that were done in 3DS Max and Cinema 4D. Both of which are animation/visualization programs.
This is very random but where did you get your mug and or coffee coasters seen in this video? I've been trying to find them for ages! Brilliant work on the video as per usual, looking forward to this series!
Looove it! 😍 And what a beautiful space you found! Any chances to see your moodboard or to know some of your inspiration sources? I’m planning to build a small workshop integrated in my house entrance and some of the images I’ve spotted in this video would definitely help me to get the proper direction. Keywords would help too, instead (I’m interested to identify the related style and expand the research from there).
The amount of dedication from building everything from scratch is always admireable. You've been an inspiration for me to take the leap and make my own studio by really building everything. Thank you matthew!
That studio is going to be amazing! Seriously congrats! I recently finished my home office setup and I must say you were quite an inspiration! Thank you!
Yesss Milanote for the wiiinn 🎉. Im literally using it right now for my podcast as im watching this. I learned about them from Becki and Chris RU-vid channel. I definitely recommend Milanote for anyone wanting a second opinion
Matt, are you still doing the voice-over in the closet covered in jakcets? :) Still very smooth. Nice project we all wish we could do, often before we even have a real business.
Yes, still recording out of my closet. Lucky for me, my business has outgrown my home office to warrant this one, and give me the opportunity to build something from scratch.
Great video! Just qualified for the free yearlong pro education version of Shapr3D. I'm going to learn it by building a 3D model of my speech-language pathology classroom and redesigning the layout to make the environment more conducive to learning and sensory differences for neurodiverse students/people. Might steal your zen workshop idea!
Wow! sobrang nainspired ako sayo broww!! galeng!!! I just recently started my YT channel because of you brooo!! sobrang excited ako to see the finish product of this project! galeng sobra!!!
