Instagram- AdamTheWooATW My time away from home and the road trip continues . I think I’m at almost 5 weeks away from my own bed at this point and no plans to head back yet . Let the travels continue !
Yay so excited to see more travel videos we get to see all these amazing places from the comfort of of our living rooms just love it so much thank you so much Adam 😊
If you're going to be in Las Vegas for a minute look up video bob he has a house there he has his own DeLorean time machine another movie Cars pretty cool
In a few weeks I will leave Sacramento for a 17 state road trip with my daughter. I’ve never done anything like it and I’m both excited and scared. Las Vegas is my first stop.
That was awsome, Adam!! But, can't wait to see what you do in Las Vegas!!! Glad you retrieved your hay!! And that's a great picture of you at the Las Vegas sign!!
Hi Adam I hope you're doing well and staying safe in your travels thank you for what you've been doing on the channel for all these years it's appreciated I know by me and a lot more other people stay safe and well keep doing what you've been doing on your channel like I said it is it appreciated Stay safe and well Stay safe and well 🤗😊❤
Hi Adam, the BNSF train company is actually Burlington Northern Santa Fe. Two different companies that merged years ago. But I imagine you knew that. Thanks for taking me along for the ride. Wonderhussy Adventures did a vlog on the Liberty Sculpture Park. It was vandalized by the Chinese government awhile back, the owner is very anti-Communist Chinese.
Thanks for sharing your SoCal exit adventures as you head back across country. Great train views😁. Missed Justin a week ago by an hour. Maybe I'll catch you in SW Ks on your way through. Two Thumbz 👍👍
I noticed you were close to Apple Valley which is where Wes Craven shot the original 1977 version of THE HILLS HAVE EYES' The 2006 remake wasn't bad, but still hold a place in my heart for the original.
That bridge early on in the video around the 4:40 mark was used in a Foo Fighters music video back in 2002-3. It was a pretty big deal at the time to have a band of that stature up here shooting a video.
To me, the saddest thing about Baker was the end and removal of the Famous Bun Boy. I would stop there every trip I would make to Vegas first time was with my parents in 1974. The other was when State Line changed it's name to Primm. I remember staying there when they had only two hotels, one on either side called Cactus Kate and Whiskey Pete's. Such great times.
Wow that’s exciting when your videoing something right at home. I’ve been working and living here at Primm Valley Resorts for 25 years now. You’re right Buffalo Bill’s hasn’t reopened yet since the Covid shutdown. Only Primm Valley and Whiskey Pete’s are open. Buffalo Bill’s opened 3 times for only the weekends for 3 concerts this year. However on the 1st of the year 2023 it’s reopening permanently. Not sure of the exact day but in the 1st week of January. But yea that was fun watching the video and listening to you talking about the casino and the rollercoaster and stuff. Thanks for that.
I really hate to say it.... But..." Best Remove'm!" glad you got it back! Killer! I was in that area exploring with my family 40 years ago...even more remote! Rad video!
That exact spot, within a half mile or so, is the "Day A Train Hit A Helicopter" as the news said at the time, when a big fire had firejumpers hovering too close to a train coming through a curve. I-15, Cajon Pass.
Hello from San Diego!! I've also been on that coaster when it was operational and it turned me off from all coasters forever!! It scared me so bad!! I love your travels and have watched just about every one! Be safe!
You missed "the world's largest gas station" over in Jean. 97 pumps and sevral desert racing and movie cars inside. Walk-in beer cooler, White Castel Burger resturant, huge selection of souvineers and snacks.
I live in Apple valley and some of those trains can hold you up at a stop for almost an hour on Rancheros.Trigger moves often.lol......every few years. Some good restaurants in this Spirit Center!Too bad you missed the Bottle park!!That sand storm was nothing.....we have had them where its total darkness. You even skipped calico!!!!
That same thing happened to me on my way home to Vegas 2 weeks ago !! That was cool to see what was on zzyzx road never got off there in years of passing !! You didn't get a world famous date shake in Cima actually Nipton....
I’m born and raised in Vegas and I’m in my 50’s. I’ve never stopped at ZZYZX road so thanks for sharing that. I’ve traveled many years to Disneyland along the I-15 as a child and adult. I also remember that water park out in the desert near Barstow as a kid and begged my parents to take me there but they never did🙁. It was open in the 1970’s and 80’s. Not sure when it closed down. I believe it was called Lake Dolores.
Omg! You passed through my hometown at the beginning. Too bad you never got to see the Summit Inn Cafe it was apparently historical and had great cinnamon rolls.
Such a shame it is no longer there. Were you as excited as I was when he said Hesperia even though I knew exactly what he was looking at, I was glued to the screen.
Lita Pema Really!? Rude, mean, hurtful. Why not add something nice instead of being the one with a stupidly mean comment Be BETTER, and ENJOY life more
I stayed at Buffalo Bills years ago when it first opened. I rode the roller coaster a few times also there used to be a motion machine and arcade for kids . Dont recall the water ride , that must of came later . I also stayed at Whiskey Petes , and the Primadona across the street . There used to be a huge ferris wheel over there too. Its hard to believe its so desolate there now
28:10 Those lights to the left of the highway are from the Ivanpah solar power project. It uses mirrors focused to heat a boiler on the top of a tower. I drove by there last September and had the same question.
Zzyzx was supported by Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine years ago. You were able to stay there for $10 a night if you asked the schools. They had 'dorm' like rooms and bunks, with working restrooms and showers. Great hat 'fishing' JOB too!
For a sec there I was way too invested in Operation Tampa Bay Hat Rescue. I lost my most favorite cap on Splash Mountain once so I know the feels. Those short shaggy palm trees look funny, like a row of hairy monsters in need of a cut and a shave. I will always think of that Huell Howser episode when I pass by Peggy Sue.
Hey I’m from Victorville. That “old times bridge” was in a foo fighters music video. You should have stopped and ate at the spirit river cafe. Good food.
Years back we stopped in Baker and the thermometer said it was 125 degrees, we were in a car with no ac and with the windows down it felt like a hair dryer right in your face.
I’ve done this drive at least a hundred times back forth from various places in Cali since moving to Vegas back in 2016. I’ve never stopped at these random places. Just Baker and Eddie’s world. What’s very weird is watching you go to all these other random places across the country and it seeming so weird but when you do this drive it’s not lol.
How long have you known Daphne for? How’d you meet? She’s well versed in Motley Crew. Have fun watching all your Vlogs. My vlog is over. Thank you Adam. For what you do for us!
Those lights are a solar field. For solar energy. They are more powerful than the sun at their focal point... You can see them from a plane and the ISS. There are several areas of these.
Funny about thinking that car was yours. Years ago I was at a car place with my van. I actually got inside and there was all kinds of junk in it. I thought who put all this crap in it. Then it dawned on me I was in the wrong van. Love your adventures.
Just found out I maybe in a position very soon to start traveling. I’m at very excited for the possible change. I have traveled some but not like living on the road. Been looking at RVs and Campers for a few days now.
Love seeing actual trains my Nonno worked on the Pacific railroad many many moons ago The trains in my area are for rapid transit not freight trains I miss the sound of the horn my goodness I was complaining about 30 mile an hour gusts a couple of days ago that sandstorm is cRazY
i'm glad you were able to retrieve your (LID) and that you did NOT lose your glasses some how..but please be more careful in the future in not losing both, and it is quite possible that the hotel was sued due to someone getting hurt on the ride.
You should visit Cerro Gordo Its out there in death valley. He has a channel as well. it would be nice to see you two collaborate just once. The owners name is Brent.
1:26 - Kool! some train action , with sound effects!! always wanted to check out that Weird! exit , when traveling on the i-15, gas just so pricey now, , 9:37 - man , that dust & sand , like a total apocalypse! The only more miserable drive though the desert, IMHO , is driving north from Barstow to Bakersfield , with the exception of Tehachapi.
The weird lights on your left just before crossing into Nevada is the Ivanpah Concentrated Solar facilities. Ground mounted mirrors pointed at the top of a 300 foot tower (there are three towers). Not solar panels, not without its problems.
@28:08 those lights you see are actually solar panels. Theres a lot of mirrors at the base of them that reflect the sunlight straight to the top of those towers
