pls react to her 23rd birthday production :) she sang, danced, and played instruments. Also we were colonized by Spain for 333 years that's why we can speak spanish quite well. not everybody though. we adapted their language as well because there are a lot of words that we say everyday that are spanish without us even knowing. The philippines was also colonized by the Americans and japanese. thats why English is taught to us in school from kinder to highschool but some schools also offer different language lessons like mandarin, etc. but in my school it was just english. 😂 We actually adapted foods from america like chocolates, hotdogs etc. also the education systems etc. And also in the philippines we have a lot of different native languages. it depends on the place the person lives in. There's bisaya, ilocano, waray, etc. there's a lot of islands, and all i understand is Tagalog and english 😂 but im trying to learn french and spanish through an app though 😂😂anyways hope this comment helped, thank you for your videos i love them so much! sending love from the philippines 💞💞💖💖💖

Rocky Marquez-Castillo actually accdng to DepEd k-12 program have a curriculum in Spanish for Sr HS .so basically they want to bring it bck in school . one of our lost identity as a Filipino.

yes the people of zamboanga, they speak spanish with tagalog words. their dialect is chavacano

Yep, Chavacano is the closest we have to the Spanish language, it's a bastardized version tho so it's still pretty far from the real thing. I read somewhere that the Spaniards never really taught the common folk Spanish in fear of the Filipinos being united by a common language. The Spaniards' tactics relied heavily on the diversity of our local languages and regional differences.

Among foreign languages, it's Spanish that Filipinos can easily speak and learn since the country was once a Spanish colony for more than 300 yrs, that's longer than Mexico or to any other Latin American country for that matter. Spanish in way has greatly influenced the major ethnic languages in the country like Tagalog, Cebuano, Hiligaynon, Waray, Ilokano, Bikolano, Chavacano, etc. that every single one of them has a fair share of Spanish loanwords on their vocabularies. Too bad, majority of Filipinos today cannot speak Spanish fluently.

Well, that's the thing about Filipino singers, they may not speak the language but they can easily imitate the sound of words while listening to the song. That's why you'll see a lot of Filipino singers and bands everywhere around the world, and I mean EVERYWHERE. Plus, Filipinos are very much familiar with the Spanish language being under Spain for more than more than 300 yrs. We don't speak the language anymore but we still use a lot of Spanish words.

Some old schools in the Philippines, (Exclusive schools) are teaching spanish class or this is mainly part of their curriculum. Other than English, Filipinos are inclined to knowing Latin or Spanish Language

this cover made me like her.i thought julie ann is just a singer with an average voice.i really dont watch her songs on youtube but when i was trying to search despacito music cover her name came out so with curiosity i clicked.and oh whoaaawwwww she's a good singer that i didnt know.. to bloggers filipinos have mix cultures wayback to phil history we were colonized by spain,japan america etc..so these countries made a huge impact on our culture traditions and language.specialy spanish language..we often use it in phils..there are dialects in phils using a lot of spnish words.even in tagalog we use some spanish words.so it is not a surprise for us if we can speak spanish a lil bit..and filipinos are really good in imitating languages..chinese,japanese and spanish are easy for us to imitate...

what makes it easy for us to imitate other languages is we use the tagalog alphabet and english alphabet..tagalog alphabet is A ba ka da...in english is A b c d..A in tgalog is Ah b is bah so if we are going to imitate other language it's kinda easy for us coz we can imitate ah sound(for tagalog spanish and other languages using ah sound) and the ey/A sound(for english)..
