For those who don't know, the actor who plays the guitarist with the machine gun cases was the original El Mariachi that Banderas plays in this movie; Desperado is the sequel.
When we saw this movie for the first time,we would play around with our old guitar doing that rocket launching pose! It was so cool back then, still is today.
This movie is one of the movies in the 90s I can watch over and over again. Bad a $ $. Back then when I was 15, I would rent it and watch it via VHS at Block Buster. It was one of those times when you literally had to fight another person for the film because most new releases are always gone within a day since they only carried a handfull of it unlike now days. You just stream it...I actually enjoyed back then when we go out as a family and rent the movies we want like going shopping. It was more work but I felt it gave us a reason to go out rather staying than staying home. Sometimes in life, having convenience isn't always the best. I miss those days.
What gets me is how it took so long to kill both of El Mariachi's associates while they fought without the use of cover and/or concealment. Either way, there's nothing more badass than to get involved in a firefight with machine guns and RPGs disguised in guitar cases.
FUN FACT: Eric Bischoff liked "White Train" by Tito & Tarantula so much after watching this movie, he made it his theme song in World Championship Wrestling.
Замечательный фильм, а Antonio Banderas и его друзья - это сила - мужская дружба - бесстрашие, но человеческая жизнь для них - это главное. Хочется посмотреть весь фильм👍👍👍❤❤❤
over the top action yet still have some sense of realness to the scene: the bazooka need to be reloaded after each shot, the guitar machine gun run out of ammo, banderas notice the obvious and tell the mariachi to take cover…amazing!!
LOL, yet true! Antonio Banderas has like 10X the time to make any life-saving choices than reality would allow !!!!! (Bet you wouldn't have paid any attenton, but in the near-distant future: VOTE BLUE to America for continue exist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
😅 I was around 5 years old when this movie came out and every kid in town know this movie I was dreaming of a suitcase rocket launcher when I was a kid 😂😂😂😂
This film made me a Salma Hayak fan - though the last half of this clip, as posted, was a repeat of the first half without sound (at least for me!). BUT, she's some kind of hot and able to portray a most believable character role. Loved her in "The Hitman's Bodyguard" and its sequel!
we need a part 4 of el mariachi with the others reprising there role but with someone elseturning el mariachi as a 007 like nick name for multiple anti hero
Well the series ended with once upon a time in Mexico with El finally getting what he felt was finally right after killing the man who killed the woman he loved as well as his child and nearly killing him, he walks away with the state president of Sinaloa’s sash around his bod, and with some of the funds he got from the payment for the coup de tat. He just walks into the sunset with his “wife” Carolina singing Siente Mi Amor.
Its very Rare to watch the movies about the story of musician killer. This is one of the bedt movie i watched. If these two friend of Antonio Banderas they cover to the safe place they will never get killed.
That stance looks absolutely stupid even in this. Nobody should steal that stance for any reason. The one leg cocked out to the side like that - so unnecessary. Just take a fucking knee like a normal person 😂
@@DeadPixel1105 normal is boring, normal is realistic, normal sucks. Ridiculous is stylish, ridiculous is funny, ridiculous is cool and stupid. Ridiculous is rare, normal is in abundance. And Gungrave is stupid as hell.
@@viewtiful1doubleokamihand253 That's true. Fair enough. After all, it IS a Hollywood action film. It's not supposed to be like a historical drama or documentary haha
@@DeadPixel1105 absolutely. It’s entertainment, after all ! For example Dr. Hannibal Lecter is as unrealistic and over-the-top as an image of a murderous psychopath can get - he knows all, he feels all and he is incredibly charming and penetrating, to the point of people even scoffing at the idea of his character, but not a single soul can genuinely claim they are not entertained by his presence on screen or on page. Because it’s fiction, it’s a weapon against the all-consuming boredom of reality.
This is still one of my favorites. Banderas is cool af, Joaquim is a perfect bad guy and ....... come one, do I even need to say it? Salma, Salma, Salma. To this day my buddy and I will randomly call each and say "did I thank you" then the other says "I will" and the conversation is over.
At 0:15 in reality these three would have killed by that machine gun fire. But 80s movies were insane where hero can stand in the middle can kill all the bad guys.
At 3:08 I like how Antonio has remind his comrade to cover himself, when the guy was trying to be cool walking around in the open... I think Antonio knew that was going to be their last fight together...😂😂😂 He didn't even bother to check on them..
Vimos imágenes documentales de "un día cualquiera en una orquesta mexicana". Los miembros de la empresa militar privada "Wagner" también se hacen llamar músicos.
