Rebellions are ON for only the first 200 years as these desperate kingdoms squabble and fight over really bad land, trying to take hold of the Oasis in the middle. My other channel! / gregbrodudeman
Cactus do provide wood, but they can't get food from sand desert (unless it's Beach then they can get coconuts), They can become self sufficient if they can build a farm or a fishing dock.
@@tboneboi yeah, the arcane desert is actually one of the better places to be because of an early supply of food and plenty of stone and ore, including Adamantine.
the unfortunate thing here is he didnt track the cultures, in the beginning there were four cultures, and to see which kingdoms had which culture, and which culture won out finally in the end would have made it much better.
@@friccle_ my whole thing was i wanted some epic saga to play out, i wanted to start off the races with a few of each, let them expand into the world, and throw cataclysms at them, and just see the world evolve, and maybe chronicle the events in a journal type of thing, but in the end there was just a bunch of stupid crap, the dwarves would die off and not even try, the orcs would always dominate, the cataclysms werent random, so you had to pick and choose what you wanted to happen, which just didnt have the appeal... and god forbid you put zombies in the world, even when you think you nuke them out of existence, they always come back... basically i just wanted more, and even with real basic expectations, i was still disappointed... so yeah...
Add events to spice things up such as, rewards and random events. Using the Oasis video as example, the first nation to get a dock on the Oasis gets an award. First nation to control the entire Oasis gaines a bigger award. For random events, you could do a wheel with random events such as, "Fishing Barons Seize Power", all Oasis towns declare independence, "Drought", the lake dries up temporarily, "Sand Storms" a tornado spawns in every connor of the map.
4:20 Fun fact: Saguaro cactus actually does have woody portions of it’s trunk. Not the whole thing, but enough to be usable as a building material. Saguaros are MASSIVE, way bigger than you think, and incredbily heavy. They need the extra support of the tough material.
The dry dad jokes actually made the video much nicer "Look there's King Suk's tombstone" "No don't carry it away!" "I guess they didn't like him, maybe...he SUCKED😂" Corny lol My first RU-vid comment to hit 1k likes😭😭😭 That's one life goal checked off the list👏
@@minaashido518dwarves are the Tolkien spelling of the species. Dwarfs was the common spelling before, and even some modern stuff, like Warhammer, uses dwarfs
@@williamj.2695 I have seen an immense amount of people commenting under videos with dwarfs in them (mostly Brad Williams comedy) saying not to call them dwarfs because they’re real and dwarfs aren’t At this point I want the spellings to be separated enough that people can understand that dwarfs aren’t claiming to be fictional blacksmiths
Collab with Mellon please dude both of you kinda sound the same kinda same humor kinda same everything! Tons of people who are looking for good worldbox content like me and people who watch you want Mellon and a gorg collab. Please in the name of all that is right and reasonable collab with gorg dude please please please.
Imagine the social hierarchy and religions that would arise based around this geography The first discovery of the oasis would've been a spiritual experience, both the greenland and water part.
I’m a be honest, this guy though…. bruv you’re great Gorg, you AND Mellon. You guys do the same content have a similar voice, and are bot insanely hilarious❤
here is a dumb idea. Worldbox but everytime someone declares a war on another they send a nuke into their main town. i have no idea if this would be good content but thats how most wars start in movies i think idk
I have an idea. Make 2 islands. One of them is a bad biome but the people there have good traits. The other island is a good biome but with bad traits. After about 30-40 years, connect the 2 islands and see who can win in a battle
17:41 … Mad peace really did die quietly. I think they started out around 15:15 , they were originally Realm of the Pahel with a population of 147 (I’m pretty sure) And their name was changed at 15:39 . They shall not be forgotten, especially not in silence. They stood for justice, peace, and prosperity 15:39 .
"So disrespectful, I guess they didn't like their king very much... maybe he sucked." I often hit like on your videos when I finish watching them, but after that line I hit thumbs up immediately. Top joke, no regrets. Couldn't even finish the rest of the video, I was laughing too much.
With the rebellions, I usually just do 1 kingdom and let them fill up the map and then I turn it on. It's fun seeing society crumble. If I'm feeling a little extra spicy I'll throw in a random zombie in the map and watch as the world collapses.
Don't lecture me, Obi-Wan! I see through the lies of the Oasis. I do not fear the deep water as you do. I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and SAFETY to my new Empire! Oh, and I... I don't like sand.
The reason some farms have cubic cuts is because your in kingdom view instead of village view so you can’t see the borders and yes farms only grow inside of the village that built it so if it’s on the border the part of the farm that’s meant to be over the border actually won’t be built check in next week for another World-box-fact
omg greg! when I clicked this vid I thought oh cool new gamer channel to try, then heard ur voice and now I'm so happy its you !!! had no idea you had a separate gaming channel after watching scorn on ur main, so glad I stumbled on it hehe
If they want to take off more perhaps add modern era and future era after like say 800 ingame years and eventually they will build rockets to go explore a randomly generated solar system with diffferent challenges
I have a cool video idea where you make a few layers of mountains as walls for the starter village of the kingdom and it it’s the super protected capital and each is on their own multi biome island
OMG lol! I got an add for worldbox while watching this and didn’t notice for like 10 sec. I just thought it was a weird edit and a different narrator lol. 🤣
idea: make 4 civilizations and give each a pet like a cat or dog and every time the pet dies spin a wheel or have a rebellion happen. also give them a new pet.
It would be interesting to add natural disasters to this too, or monsters in the sand so it's even harder to survive. Maybe add the worm that moves around to mimic the movie Tremors (great movie btw) On an unrelated note, you should do something where there are four kingdoms and islands maybe and there's a plague and they have to fight. Maybe add mushroom spores or zombie infection. Add immunity to the units and the mod where the traits are passed down. And see how the zombies/mushrooms/plague impact the wars/outcome
Heheh, silly Gorg! I was dropped on my head as a baby too, now when I see a wall, I see paper, and that can cause some problems if you catch my drift >:D
What I really don’t like about the civilizations is that you can no longer have city-state kingdoms aka turning off rebellions, wars, and multiple villages. Villages are disappointing now because they don’t grow at all beyond a certain point and it kind of spoils the fun. I really want to make 2 large kingdoms at each end of the map and see who has more by the time it’s all settled and then have them fight, but alas it doesn’t seem to work.
Mad Wisdom and Mad Duty both employed interesting strategies. Mad Duty let their enemies spend their energy building resources while they built their army and then just took it from them. Mad Wisdom let their enemies fight each other and then destroyed them while they were distracted & weakened.
