I really don’t understand why adults hassle kids over fishing. The kids aren’t destroying or vandalizing facilities, they’re not hurting the fish yet adults find every reason possible to mess with the kids. I’d be cheering these kids on. I was taught to fish at the early of five years old. My dad would always say: "Teach a kid to fish and that will keep him out of trouble." He was right because at 67 years old I'd rather be fishing than causing trouble.

As far as I know before you are arrested for trespassing you first have to be given the opportunity to leave the property. That guy was just trying to scare these kids and /or is ignorant of the law. If he doesn't know the law exactly then he should keep his mouth shut.

The laws and rules in othere states are stupid in here in ny u buy one tag for 25$ for the year and u can fish any where in ny lake streams ponds canals. Its stupid u need a tag to fish on the beach or on certain areas

Yes all state laws still apply such as size and creel limits it is rare but DNR can enforce state regulations on private Lakes
