I think everyone who have roots in India or Pakistan should be allowed to visit to see their birth place. I am very happy to see this great lady who visited Pakistan. She is an inspiration for all.
Reena Jee my dad is fromGorukhpur India , he misses India, his friends and relatives, he tried but visa was not granted it brings tears in my Eyes to see you return back to your birthplace , I can understand because I’m based in Australia and I also love my birth place but I can visit anytime
Now days Gorakhpur is a prograsive city of Uttar Pradesh, N here Muslims, Hindus living very peacefully, N Gorakhpur's relationship with UP's Cheif Minister. N thanks a lot for sharing your father's city .
Not possible, Islam is the problem nothing else and thr mindset of people like you who talk about peace and but inside you do things like genocide in kashmir, killing innocent, looting hindus money, hindus temple, support terrorism and you think hindu are doing this. chnge your sillymind
we are living in peace and harmony only , no ceasefire now , no nuclear power warnings . no war its peace only we have achieved it . whats more we want .
My grandfather and grandmother had to leave their ancestral home, business and everything at East Bengal, and came to Calcutta at the time of partition. They're no more, but in this video that old passport of Madam Reena Verma reminded me of the passports of my grandparents. My dad has kept it preserved these two passports till date ❤️
Avik Kuri... where in East Bengal? If in Dhaka, let me know the address. I'll try to locate it for you, and if you are willing to visit Bangladesh 🇧🇩 , will try help you get there. Nothing like the nostalgia of visiting one's ancestral home.

I am from Rawalpindi and there were so many Hindu's living there.. before the Partition... Many of them left there homes and went to India.. Migrated People from India to Pakistan or from Pakistan to India Suffered too much...in the past...
But there is no one to show my grandfather's Ancestral home in Chuna Mandi Delhi because they converted it into a hotel in 1997. My Grandfather passed away in 2004, his last visit to Delhi was in 1998 he saw his home turned into lodging facility that day a part of him died. There should emotional quotient in humans over commerce but nonetheless.

India should have been either like EU or like the Russian Federation giving an Autonomity to all the seccesional states to solve their own problems Just like how 🇷🇺 gave Autonomity to North Caucasus region like Chechnya or Tatar Rather than pushing our Mainland Dogma and Chauvinism over them
Evidently dear lady you're totally ignorant of the history between Russia & Chechnya , Dagestan & Tatarstan over the past 4 centuries including the recent history. As far as mainland dogma & chauvinism goes , the entire country of Pakistan was founded on an extremist & dogmatic ideology. Perhaps you would feel at home there . Do write back once you've settled there on how do you find the blasphemy laws there ? P S - there's a small thriving community of Goan Christians in Karachi too.
@@MythreyeeRamesh hey myhtreyee great video. Recently lost my 86 year old grandfather, also among the few last known connections with pre partition india. Have had these conversations before
This is more than heartwarming. My heart cries at the anguish of the people who lost everything- yet retained the power to smile at the end of those adversaries.
They should make a special passport for Sindhis or Punjabis people whose origin is in Pakistan so that they can visit their land whenever they want. Don't u think?
The last few to have witnessed the horrors of our partition. The governments of both Pakistan and India owe it to this generation to let them atleast visit their ancestral homes one last time before its too late.
I don't accept that concept. You want people who wanted a partition by killing thousands to again access again of the mainland? The land was the inalienable part of India's history & culture Naah! I definitely want the land not the people. Because India has nothing to gain, pakistanis have everything to gain. I want India turn pak into Ukraine (Bucha) and get the land.
After partition everyone from both sides thought they can join back there homes after clashes but it never happened 😪In 1857 when Britishers got full hold of India at that time Indian economy is 27% of the whole world and when they left if fall down to 3% we have to think about it and removing all hatred we have to be progressive .
God bless you aunty ❤ we are from rawalpindi also, thankyou for sharing your life, as far as I am concerned one family ❤️🙏 You remind me of my parents, talking about the past, Unfortunately there are the minority in each religion who taint the rest by there evil acts,

I didn't even had to look so far, in the comments section itself i can see people from both sides that this lady was referring to. Religious and political people the main cause of hindu-muslim relationship downfall. While people like us who have mentality of Live and let live suffer.
WE NEED TO TEACH OUR CHILDREN THAT A MAZHUB WANTED A SEPARATE COUNTRY , AND A MAZHUB WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR SO MUCH DESTRUCTIONS IN MANY PEOPLES LIFE AND EVEN TODAY WE FACE PROBLEMS FROM THE NATION CREATED BY THAT MAZHUB

@@castlingcastle7970 During that time majority of Indians and Indian leaders wanted India to become a secular state If they wanted they could have made it a hindu state. If there’s any kind of program like this in future, kindly consider migrating Hamid Ansari to East Pakistan. Let the West Pakistan people acknowledge his contribution for their country.
This shows that you may be secular, progressive, kind but once Muslim rule is established qafirs cannot live peacefully. The same exodus happened in middle East, Sindh, Punjab, then Kashmir. Bhaichara exists till qafirs are in majority.
Quint should correct She wasn’t forced to leave Pakistan They chose to leave like many Muslims chose to leave india If Pakistan was really an Islamic country based on Islamic law then she would have been very happy there as under Islamic law non Muslims get esp protection and they don’t even pay Zakah tax Only the low jizya tax and don’t have to enrol in army but get full Protection Sadly Pakistan has British laws of blasphemy etc applicable to non Muslims and other British laws They did not at all make Pakistan the Islamic country but carried all indian culture also
Mr Nehru, Congress should have given some Minor Positions to Muslim league to prevent Partition. Due to Power hunger, Pakiatan they claimed separate nation. If India + Pakistan +Bangladesh were in 1 nation, my Indian nation might be No 1 in terms of area. During freedom struggle all were united, Once power came, everyone became Selfish.
How insensitive you people are? She had leave her home and the homeland of her ancestors and if she expresses a longing and love for her lost homeland what is wrong with you

Drama. We are 20s children. Not intetested in all these stories. India has moved ahead now and she is still stuck in that era. Move on of this pakistan obsession. We are different from them. They are different from us. Things have changed. Don't club us together. Today pakistan is different identity. And india is different. We youngsters can't relate with pakistan today. I'm sure its true for them For us its a alien country. Rather than living in nostalgia our elders should work hard to develop india. We are still stuck in religious dogmas, superstitions. We are still one of the poorest country in the world. And here we are celebrating 75 years of independence comparing ourselves to pakistan lol. What accomplishments india made. Zero!!
