Margret Wander, aka Dessa, is a singer, rapper, poet, and writer from Minneapolis. She is also a member of the indie hip hop collective Doomtree. Dessa came through with her live band for a performance of "Call Off Your Ghost" from the album Parts of Speech on Doomtree Records.

Aby Wolf is so amazing, when I saw her live I broke down and cried. I wasn't prepared. Dessa is obviously awesome but Aby.

Sometimes the song you need comes along at the time you need it. Tiny Desk Concerts introduced me to Dessa, but this song made me buy all the albums. :) I so want a recording of this version. I'd like to buy it though, you know, support the artists.

Like you I met Dessa and her band through Tiny Desks (aint they a wonder)! Jaw dropping moment as I had never bought into rap/hip hop before but your never too old to learn, and Dessa is a joy!! May the road continue to rise up before her!

Feedurehed keep your eyes and ears open! Dessa was my entry ticket for a whole cosmos of Twin Cities Indie Rap music. That was three years ago, and in the meantime, there`s a whole pile of CDs in my shelf... constantly growing... love and respect to those people

I was on Pandora the other day and I saw a song called ''Ghost'' and the only part I remember was when she was like ''and I'm standing on a grave.. oh ohh ohh oh ohh ohh oh and I'm standing on a grave'' now I'm mad bc I cant find it btw the woman that sang it kinda had a scratchy voice kinda like a pirate
