I'm sad you put grav forfiet on here. It gives such insane invis uptime that it's weird I don't see more people using it. It also gives you a 400/600/800% melee regen buff with 0/1/2+ enemies nearby and this works on prismatic. I was using it to get my melee back every ~11 seconds and just chain it back to back with withering blade
The “buff” Bungie gave Secant Filaments actually made it like 50% worse in PvP (the only place people actually use the exotic). It basically has the same issue Ember of Mercy had a while back.
I honestly disagree, the increased mobility and jump height lets me use my void stylish executioner glaive setup to have a constantly loaded weapon and make it across half the battlefield while invis. It's really fun to use, and completely different than running my syntho/glaive with grave robber
Fun fact about the Thagomizers: thagomizer is the name of the spikes on the tail of a stegosaurus. It was given the name by the cartoonist behind the Far Side series.
Eye of Another World was one of my first exotic armor pieces and has been a key factor in my ‘canonical drip’ as I like to call it. Basically for every campaign and cutscene I play I use the same (or slight different) drip simply for the sake of consistency. I just like the thought of my Guardian having ‘canon’ or ‘main’ clothes he wears when playing the ‘main story’… And when I play a new campaign I always wear the same thing, including this exotic. And then I realize how bad it feels and that I wish so badly that it would be better because then I switch over to a good solar or prismatic build and that absolutely goes hard. In conclusion: even though I don’t play the game anymore, please for the love of the Traveler buff the exotic.
3:23 I'm actually a big fan of gemini jesters its actually pretty useful in the crucible. It's a good way to see people behind walls (it damages them, allowing you to see their tick) and can really catch those who really overuse radar off guard. In pve, it's also pretty decent in low tier stuff blinding enemies and killing them with arc melee. Also, I got a fire fashion set to make it look good and I also just like daito.
Also, no, don't combine it with bombairders. Gemini was doing it first. If anything, bombairders should be folded into it/s But genuinely, no gemini has its own way of blinding, like going through walls and being a wave all around you. And it is also instant. It's a different kind of blind that could be buffed but is still pretty decent.
@@Forcer69meh, it's still pretty good at what it does and can really fuck with people in the crucible where it was probably intended to be used. Blink with gemini jesters is really potent and can catch people really off guard it's not overly broken to where it needs a nerf it's just an exotic used well its pretty good used poorly it's bad, and also it doesn't completely blind you so it still allows the victim to fight back if they're good at the game.
@@Forcer69pve sure could use something more, I guess. Like maybe blinding actual bosses and stuff (it used to blind champions believed they changed that) or, as it's perk name suggests, misdirecting enemies to attack other enemies.
7:41 My warlock actually has one of these masterworked on him right now, along with 100 Resilience, Discipline and Recovery. Combine it with Prismatic and the new Solar Super, and I’m spamming abilities and mass producing orbs of power left and right.
I've said it a dozen times and will say it again. To me it feels like Destiny is held back by Crucible Sandbox way too much. It could be so much more without having to constantly balance around pvp in mind. And often they dont even balance seperately and exotics get nerfed for pve and makes it an instant "dust in the vault"...
Achlyophage was handy back in vanilla D1 for blasting all the oracles during Atheon's fight, at least. Less handy after they changed how Atheon selected people to teleport, though.
Honestly, I think bing bong's too scared to give any huge buffs to Armament. Or maybe the power fantasy of "throw more grenade" is it. Anywho *FIREBALL* (ashen wake fusion nade)
Ik the helmet ain’t in the video but it reminded me of a helmet I like in D1 and man. I miss my eye of the third man forcer. I miss her alot. What I would do to have her back. (Same with glass house which is in this video too.)
The thing about blight ranger was I remember after it first released it WAS good because of a bug causing reflected projectiles to deal ludicrous amounts of damage I think if they added that back but maybe scaled it down a bit would be all it needs
I actually like the claws of ahamkara, it was my go to strand exotic until matiadoxia came out. I've been thinking of doing an incinerator snap build around it somehow
I noticed the buff to eternal warrior, though it won't change what they took from me (bottom-tree striker, light-attack kills in super lasts longer). Also, it's ugly af and that's why I really don't want to use it.
I love triton vice with edge of concurrence on base arc. Jolting and blinding explosions with a delayed arc blast shortly after to finish them off. Fave build to use on my hunter in any content other than grandmasters.
Gemini jester rework idea: grant it a class change similar to Ice Fall mantle, dodging activates a smoke bomb effect to happen around the Hunter. Standing near an enemy causes them to affect by the smokebomb.
I love the idea of combining exotics or swapping some functionality. Bungie would have to overwrite instances of the exotic that didn't make it and probably make it an ornament of the one that did. Or, in the case of them being on different body parts (blight ranger and Raiju for example) make it a legendary ornament with functionality with that exotic.
Claws of ahamkara has been attached to me since D1 and even in D2 I never took them off. Now with the exotic class item I've instead moved the perk into the exotic class item and added in spirit of necrotic so now I have poison on top of everything. I love it.
Eye of Another World is actually really stupidly good, but the fact that it doesn’t do anything particularly unique holds it back… also, it’s kinda ugly.
I talked to friends about how bungie could make an exotic give song of flame self rez and after seeing purifier robes it would be cool to bring back this cool looking exotic with the perk to give song of flame self rez.
I REALLY think Secant Filaments was meant to get a change, along with any other exotic that mentioned a specific subclass. It would just make sense to tie anything like that into a super element now, given prismatic exists- wouldnt make them any less viable for pure element subs either. I was actually so excited to use SF when final Shape dropped, since I was SURE it was gonna work. 😢 Imagine having devour on Empower rift cast, AND Hellion, AND Bleak Watcher. the ultimate "nah imma let these guys handle it" build
I only use eye of another world if I really don't know what other exotic to pair with my build. The free ability Regen buff is pretty nice but overall it's better to go for a more focused build with a different exotic.
I really like Claws of Ahamkara extra melee while using Song of Flame goes hard. You can also make more orbs via grenade and melee orb mods. Makes some of those Solstice bounties really easy.
Gwisin still holds a special place in my heart, when forsaken came out you'd sometimes get 2 minutes of super if you could chain kills long enough and be the absolute tumour of crucible
Spirit of Cyrtarachne’s night be one of the few exotic class item perks that’s better than the original, since you can spec into gunpowder gamble and just have constant grenade throwing, thus more woven mail
I found uses for Arachnid after Taken King came out: The extra time you get to have your super out + the zoom in means you can get all three kills from relative safety. It might not be as valuable in 6v6 PvP modes, but in 3v3s like Trials... it would be a godsend. People still use Gemini Jester in PvP all the time. It's super obnoxious in Trials. I'll ask you to stop dissing my boy Purifier Robes. The disorient actually made self-res safe in Trials. In our current sandbox, it wouldn't be great (as mentioned, Gemini Jester but worse), but I feel like emitting a constant blinding effect in an aura around you while Song of Flame is active would be an interesting alternative for this exotic's effect.
Destiny RU-vidrs are in a unique position. In theory you guys could collaborate together and help bungie employees. Contact bungie employees and see if it's feasible for them to try to unionize. If it is then RU-vidrs can help support them in their effort by making a video urgencing your viewers to drop Destiny until the employees are unionized. I don't know if that can be done but it is a thought
For Blight ranger make it so at the cost of either charged melee/class ability u could deflect shaots like unbreakable aspect on titan combined with Antaeus wards
If Eternal warrior was untied from the piece of shit that is fists of havoc it would immediately rise in popularity. I'm already hearing good things about it on the exotic class item
Honestly, Graviton Forfeit’s effect is actually pretty good in D2. The problem is that there’s simply just better exotic options for void and other subclasses. Not bad, just not as good as the other options.
Ngl the main reason im glad for prismatic is bc i dont have to use arclock for amplified anymore. Still have to use the super unfortunately but it’s better than the whole subclass.
What about the ram for the warlocks i loved that thing i paired that with the perk to build super and grenade energy and have fun punching away and using a shotty as a warlock or maybe i was a warlock tuning into a titan? 😅
