All 35 Destiny 1 Exotic Armor not in Destiny 2

I miss exotic class items, they weren’t the strongest but they were a cool concept. Especially the ability to have two exotic armor pieces

Ever since they added legendary ornaments pairing with exotics, I’ve been dying to see a Helm of Inmost Light ornament. Literally the coolest shit in the game.

D1 was such a different game, it's honestly crazy to think about now.

You missed the alchemist rainment exotic chest for warlock, but to be fair it was extremely forgettable

I'd take any returning exotics. I played pretty casual in D1 so I didn't get many of the exotics. They were much harder to earn and rarely dropped. Most of the ones I had were from Xur or quest.

Exotic class items could be so good for the endgame. Being they would be a pretty cool cosmetic item for tough challenges within the game. Stuff like solo flawlessing things, GMs or even flawless trials. They would have to compete with artifice armor but I think that would be a pretty easy fix with giving them the ability to also give a small boost to a single stat maybe even make it five points so it's slightly stronger than artifice armor. This would make it so you'd only need to get one in order to get the strongest piece and then we turn it into a cosmetic hunt for endgame content.

God I miss D1 Era. So nostalgic

I do miss Light Beyond Nemesis. That was my go-to Exotic armor piece in D1 due to not only the effect, but also just how stylish it looked. C'mon, Bungie, bring it back, even if it means giving it an entirely different ability! It'd be crazy to see how it would look with some of the D2 shaders!

For the class items, they could definitely give XP boosts to different vendors. Vanguard, Crucible, Gambit, and then the seasonal vendor. Maybe they could add one more that increases fishing luck or something lol

My favorite D1 exotic was impossible machines loved using it in pvp

With them having made the legendary cosmetics that pair with exotics, I think it'd be cool for the Ram to come back as an ornament to pair with the Karnstein Armlets since they share the life steal via melee theme. Voidwalker kinda already has The Ram built in nowadays with Devour and the Echo of Leeching so I don't think it really needs to return as an exotic unless it's getting a retrain, and I'm not sure "heal on slap" will fly these days with current Bungie.

The Ram was basically alwys equipped on my warlock, paired with a certain perk with radiance you could tank golden gun shots with it

man, self res really was a tumor on sunsinger's rep. I was out there enjoying increased armor with radiance, and running heart of the praxic fire, spamming abilities and never coming close to death because the armor was so powerful. but it would be declared lunacy because self res wasn't equipped. I'm glad it's coming back in Final Shape, free from it's shackles, more than self res.

Been playing d1 lately did my first wrath, BEST RAID EVER got telesto and the exotic that gives me an extra golden gun shot plus the mechanics are fun not no symbol bs

Sunbreakers was replaced by Sunbracers in Taken King to reduce confusion between the exotic and super. Also when introduced in Season 1 of D2 it was the exact same as D1, it never got the unlimited nade functionality until Season 3.

Cbgray great video I never played destiny 1 so really very informative. Only constructive criticism is lower the music or no music at all. It’s booming with you talking otherwise excellent video enjoying the longer video content.

Good video but with the taken king aprid update a lot of the older exotics had gotten buffs that only applied to the year 2 versions. For example the sunbreakers after year 2 also give a second solar grenade.

I miss ruin wings so much, they almost never got taken off they looked so good… twilight garrison was one of the only things that would take its spot

I remember during Y1 D1, I would run obsidian mind during the start of Crota. You could nova bomb an entire group of thralls and you would have your nova back pretty much straight away

Pulled up my DIM for D1 and Bones are equipped on my Hunter, and Voidfang is equipped on my Warlock. Titan has been rocking Dunemarchers for close to a decade now.

Its crazy that they pulled Praxic Fire's attribute to the new sunbracers. That was my go to exotic until they took self res out

The Skyburner's Annex is based off the taken boss you fight on the Outbound Signal quest

Bro the taikonaut would be so nice. Would use that so often tbh. Too many enemies dodging rockets now a days. The bonus to heavy drops is nice as well. Maybe change the radar to additional reload or something would be cool

Honestly heart of the paraxic fire would be an awsome return for final shape since radiance is coming back

If I remember right, the bones of eao wouldn't actually come back due to lore. Which sucks, cause I loved having them on for the extra jump

I want the immolation fists so bad. I didn't even play D1, I started D2 with beyond light. I just rlly f with the blocky yet militaristic/utilitarian look of the sun break gear.

Garrison was fs my favorite exotic, but I also miss bones and the ram

I had all 9 exotic class items, easily the most brutal grind I went through in Destiny history...until it took 68 clears to get Eyes of Tomorrow

Ah, back when exotics were rare and you'd be excited to see them. Destiny 1 wasn't perfect by any means but God do I miss the good ol' days..

sunbreakers also gave you an additional solar grenade charge

I’m a Solar Warlock main since D1 and miss Heart of Praxic Fire. I would run it with Radiant Skin in PvP, trust me, it was the play instead of Self Res.

I always wanted the ram to come back to destiny 2 even if it had a different perk. A ram ornament for the stag would be nice at least

If I were to implement an exotic class item, I would give it the perk to allow you to put on two exotic weapons at a time, in exchange for being unable to have an exotic perk otherwise.

Dude I want Glasshouse back so BAD, also it would be cool if they added the Helm of Inmost light as a legendary ornament that paired with the chest.

I miss hunter's Arachnid and Mask of The Third Man helmet designs. I loved them.

Just realizing now that Manticore pulls from Empyrean Bellecose since they're both "anti-grav thrusters"

Give us Exotic Class items back, but make it so that while wearing them you can equip two of the previous Goated seasonal mods (Breach and Clear, Particle Deconstruction, Volatile Flow, etc.).

I rocked Alpha Lupin on my hunter just because it looked badass....I was disappointed that the moved it to Titan

Warlocks had Angel of Light before titans had the exotic to float mid air.

0:56 they really should make Helm of Inmost Light a legendary exotic-matching armor ornament to pay tribute to it 11:40 most likely because tehre isn't much of a reason to since we don't have factions anymore. Would be cool but just no place for them right now I'd think

Titans should be able to air strafe on arc. There's no reason warlocks should have absolute dominion over mobility

Huhhh!? Hunters didn't know about Crest of Alpha Lupi!? Bro I was an Arc Hunter main in D1. Putting on Alpha Lupi during raids and Prison of elders, I'd crouch to cloak and res downed teammates. I would do decent enough damage but my main role was to stay alive and res to avoid losing. All the extra orbs I would make when casting blade dancer, I swear my perks carried some of raids and prison runs.

Exotic class items don't really serve a purpose now seeing how all the benefits exist in d2. The only unique thing about them is that they're "exotic." If they made them stronger, then it could mess up the fashion because then everyone would just be wearing the same couple of class items for the benefit. It's like how basically every dedicated player only uses always on time for its stat boosts compared to all other sparrows.

Exotic class items gave a reason for the factions to remain on the radar for bounties and grinding for that rep.

The taikonaut would be beyond S+ tier in D2 endgame, and the exotic class items are basically reduced to ghost mods now. But they all looked way cooler than any legendary.

One thing I missed was those faction rally’s in D1 😭😭😭 Ugh New Monarchy I always pick. That, or FWC! Those type of things that make me really miss D1 cause it had soo much content for us to playing unlike D2.

Honestly some of the exotics were just so weak that they’d need to revamp them to make them worth getting, which honestly they’ve been doing good with
