after you do the well skate pop a grenade to proc heat rises. With heat rises active, if you well skate at an object with an angle like one of the roots or even a slanted wall it will launch you straight up.

your momentum probably doesn´t run out as quick as if you wouldn´t spam glide

Some skip methods require using mountain top stickies to nade jump

Shooting at your feet before gliding can increase maximum height gain while gliding with heat rises and won’t kill you since MT is capped at 1600. It’s also the only breech loaded GL that will detonate that fast on impact compared to others that will guarantee to bounce since remote detonation takes longer and releasing early will just result in a bounce + detonation that won’t boost your momentum similarly. MT is basically a pocket rocket launcher that won’t kill you but the impact explosion can boost your momentum if the timing is right.
