Banshee-44 can’t remember his own name most days but him repeating Cayde’s name over and over while he’s idle so he won’t forget him, hit me right in the feels.
I am just glad I Revenge cayde and have his weapon now it is better for any other guardian to have his weapon then a monster to have it that why I use nothing I mean nothing else but aces I don't care what anyone says I am not replacing aces with any other good or better weapon if I die I die with aces in my hands and taken many enemys with me to remember cayde
The worst part about Banshee is after you complete the Ace of Spades questline the last line you hear him say before you leave is "Hey, you seen Cayde around?" That shit hurt.
Zavalas feeling it too though. You can feel it in his speech patterns. The edge in his voice, the pauses right before it breaks through. Zavala is _furious_ that Uldren got away, and he wants more than anything to get vengeance. But he remembers the Red War, knows his place is defending the city, rebuilding what they lost. So he does the only thing he can. He, albeit unofficially, passes the task of vengeance onto you, knowing that you'll turn over every rock in the system if it means being able to put a bullet in Uldren Sov.
@@roguedragoon9212 Ikora's even more fiery about it than Zavala, wym? She calls him out for his cold feet and actively encourages your Guardian to go ape shit if it means avenging Cayde. Granted, she isn't super happy after, but that's because she's cooled down.
Its these kinds of moments that really show why the Vanguard characters embody the three classes. Ikora trusts her gut and lets her instincts guide her actions through a crisis whether its knowing she needed to go to Io or wanting to avenge her friend. Just like every Warlock who must trust themselves to channel their immense powers. Zavala never once wavers from his purpose and doesn't let emotions blind him even though he SO badly wants to. Like every Titan holding the line or smashing down the gates. Cayde has been ready for his end for centuries with his stashes and journals and when it came, he went out in style with one last farewell and a middle finger pointed at the guy who finally took him down. Like every Hunter looking to live fast and burn bright out on the frontier.
Technically the player or uldren is the new hunter vanguard if the conditions of caydes dare where whoever killed him becomes the new vanguard and since we killed uldren we by extension are the new hunter vanguard
Zavala: We can’t help you Ikora: I can’t help you but here’s a hint Gunsmith: Kill Uldren Failsafe and Amanda: *emotion* Shaxx: HE DIDNT BEAT ME IN THE CRUCIBLE Hawthorne: *Hey, Guardian* Tess: *W E L C O M E T O E V E R V E R S E*
It's depressing how Banshee will forget about Cayde's death sometimes, and even referred to him as his "funny, chicken-loving friend" on one occasion. His memory problems are the saddest part of Destiny, but at least he does still remember Cayde in some way even if he occasionally forgets he's dead.
Ikr? And what hurts me more is, even though I get where he’s coming from and respect him for it, remember, Cayde when we won the Red War said “ The Vanguard is behind you, Guardian. Always. ( Oooh, gave myself chills! ) “
@@Berbean it ain't the vanguard that's behind you,it's cayde. As a hunter vanguard,he was always watching everyone's back and had no one watch his. Truest fucking hunter ever
I think Asher's response was the one that shocked me the most. He wasn't sad, he was minimally sorry for Cayde because he was more focused on telling you what he's learned. Ambition drove him into the Pyramidion, drove him to discover something terrible that is still hurting him to this day. He laments that he's now paying the price for his ambition, and now that he sees that fire for revenge in you he warns you; no matter how driven for something you are you will always have to pay the price.
Ashers closer to you than to Cayde. He fears that what you were about to do may end poorly for you. Hes secretly quite fond of your prolonged...existence
So much for the "You need both CoO and Warmind to play Forsaken" thing... Neither of those two even matter any at all at this point. What's even the effing point?
I'm trying to come up with something she might say. I think maybe something about retracting all the bad stuff she said about Guardians at the beginning of the story would be in her monologue, but I am figuring out what exactly she would say after finding out Cayde died.
Actually Shaxx and Cayde were on love hate relationships. They both made bets in the crucible and they both hate losing and they hate each other when they lose to each other.
Me: Brother Vance!! Something terrible has happened 😭😣 Brother Vance: I KnOw!! Me: The Legendary Hunter Cayde-6 Has Fallen In Ba.... Brother Vance: YoU NeVeR InTrOdUcED Me tO OsIrIs!! Oh ThE TrAgEdY!! Me: 😑
To be honest 1) Drifter He truly embodies what Cayde would act and say.If anyone who can act and resemble Cayde,it would be Drifter 2)Failsafe To be honest,I knew this would hit home because no matter how much Failsafe says she hates Cayde,he introduced her to a new crew,a new family. He saved her from her isolation from the Vex.And now the man(excuse me exo) who she saved her died... Yeah that kinda hurts 3)Zavala I kinda have to respect him in this moment. The moments of pauses and hesitant of him is just astounding You can tell he is mad You can tell he wants revenge You can tell he wants the same thing just as much as you want hell maybe even more But he *can't*,he has a city to protect and he is still scarred from the Red War.He doesn't want that to happen again but he wants this soooooo badly so he asks you to do it.He keep his eye off you but you won't get any backup in this war That is my Top 3 favorite response I am probably gonna get disagreements so LET IT AT ME Edit:Holy shit 162 likes thanks
Finally someone else who doesn't see Zavala as a coward he is dutiful but he clearly would go with you as would Ikora. Even Ikora agrees that the vanguard must remain. Banshee and Failsafe, damn they hit you in the feels. Drifter I felt said what Cause would have said had it have been anyone else. And Amanda you see her confidence shaken rather than this confident pilot we know.
You know at first I thought Zavala was a coward for not helping out our guardian, but what you said makes sense, loss does a lot of things to people; some of them just handle it better than others. With the red war, Zavala is just making sure that a crisis like that never happens again, I don’t think he thought it could be so personal
I feel Asher’s quote is amazing . He gets it. He understands. Every action has a consequence. We got vengeance, but that’s not the end of it. There is always consequence
Post master had the most meaningful speech about cayde, it almost made me cry, the she said yes hit me in the feels, im tearing up just thinking about it even more.
Zavala: Look i want to kill him too personally but we can't risk a war with the Reef Ikora: If anyone says anything i didn't say you should kill Uldren Banshee: Look, Fucking Murder him
Wow, this video suddenly kicked off o.O *Annotation* Saladin didn't say anything during iron banner. The cryptograph in the farm didn't say anything. Faction leaders didn't say anything Petra.. that one I missed. There are some reactions after completing the story. Might do them if I get hands on another account.
The faction-rally leaders actually have some dialogue related to Cayde-6’s death (their lines were found via data-mining). But I guess since there’s no Faction rallies currently ongoing, we won’t hear any of it until it comes around later this year.
In one of the messages Cayde left behind in the AoS quest he mentioned a bet he made with Marcus Ren, that whenever he kicked the bucket the Hunter Vanguard gig would be his now, similar to the bet that Cayde and Andal Brask did before.
"Farm came to a standstill" thats because there's noone there devrim haha. Still no excuse that Shaxx and Hawthorne don't say anything, considering they knew him on a personal level
As sad as some of those were, the one thing that nearly made me cry was Banshee because at the end of the Ace Of Spades quest, he asked if you seen Cayde around. That was just so heartwrenching. DX
I usually think that Asher Mir is an asshole, but what he says is actually pretty sympathetic. Telling the guardian to be careful, because even though we’re caught up in the moment and want revenge, he knows that there may be unforeseen consequences
I actually get Zavala's decision. There where cut audio logs from Warmind that clearly hint at Zavala's suffering some psychological trauma from the Red War. For the first time in awhile he was truly helpless so it makes sense he wouldn't risk a situation like that again
Zavala: doesn't encourage revenge, doesn't really understand what it's like to lose someone important Ikora: wishes you luck, understands well why you're doing what you're doing Banshee-44: feels exactly how you do: anger
Citrusbird386 Citrusbird386 it says “destiny 2 characters reaction to caydes demise” he didn’t have to show their normal response Bc that’s not their reaction
they better bring him back as cayde 7. i feel so empty now having witnessed his death 3 times on all my characters. I feel like i've lost a friend. I want him back
Awsomer 76 if you read the lore on wikia cayde became exo after losing a gamble and escaped it by being a guard at the bray industries, and later a test subject for becoming an eco, he died as an exo because before forsaken his cache missions had letters to his son ace telling him about how he will look different the next time he sees him.
There's actually another quote that now sounds rather... peculiar. When we kill all servitor little allies to activate the heroic and it goes mad, ghost says "wow, servitors are so touchy" ... Who's touchy now.
*"You gotta promise me something... Put Uldren in the ground. And get the Ace of Spades back."* -Banshee 44. Badass Exo Gunsmith, That Delivery Was So Damn Perfect.
