I think they need to include shaxx in the story more. He isn’t just “the cruicible guy” like how drifter isn’t just “the gambit guy”. Yeah he may focus on the crucible the most but he most definitely is invested in the ongoings for the fight for humanity.
Shaxx had access to OG Redrix's, Mountaintop, Recluse, Not Forgotten, The Revoker - there's no way he's going down to Warlords with world loot drops or Iron Lords with Guiding Sight or Frontier's Cry!
It would be cool if Shax one day just goes "Guardian I challenge you and your Fireteam to a fight against me and my redjacks. And then we get a raid with Shax as the boss and it's just extremely hard lmao.
A bit of a non-sequitur here, but the lack of lore about Saladin being Shaxx's mentor makes me think at some point in early development the characters of Shaxx and Zavala were swapped. Look at the Vanguard symbol. Bold geometric orange and white shapes. Navy blue backing. Look at Shaxx's armor. Geometric orange and white shapes, with some navy blue tones. From a design perspective, Shaxx armor is more on-brand with the Vanguard theme. Now look at Crucible branding. Two-headed pheonix (though this wasn't as prevalent in D1 vs D2 it think, but hear me out). Red and white. Zavala's armor is prmiarly silver and red, and both on his chest and on his big paludron you see a two-headed pheonix. From a design perspective, Zavala would look more on brand with the crucible theme. And from season of the Haunted we learned that Zavala learned under Saladin - which of course might just be a recent addition. But who knows? This may be an old thing, but it's been on my mind for a while. Great vid Myelin!
I wouldn't be surprised for how much of a gigachad Lord Shaxx is that he eventually realizes that someone is trying to invade his mind and finds some way to imprison it within his mind, eventually becoming just someone for Lord Shaxx to spitball ideas with, eventually having a relationship similar to how Piccolo and Nail had in Dragonball Z: Abridged.
Been watching The full story of Gears of War recently. And after this, I kinda want a 3rd person cover shooter with Destiny abilities that takes place during the Dark Ages.
An absolute travesty that Shaxx never got a story focus in any of the seasons… I was hoping that Warlords Ruin would involve him, wasted opportunity at most we saw him with our stolen Raze-Lighter and getting stuck behind a shield wall in the Red War
"...these are just really lucky pants!" Towards the End you hope he takes center stage, i say nay, if he dose he will end up like cayde 6 and amanda, "Bungie scary yes?"
I was hoping that post Final Shape in the power vacuum left by the Witness and all the big bads being gone, warlords would rise up again. And create a bit of an era of chaos.
I would love to see an anime series of Destiny lore There is so much to work with, it could honestly go on forever if the funding was there Alas I can dream
Wait what??? Myelin also makes LORE VIDEOS???!!!😂 just kidding buddy, I get it, it's really hard to make lore sausage with only the intestinal lining that is currently available at the Bungie narrative factory....and literally nothing else. You keep pumping out content and we'll keep watching!
Seriously missed opportunity with him in onslaught. If you max out the decoy ut becomes lord shaxx. But i would much rather spend like 8k scrap and have shadx get so excited he cant contain himself anymore and he actually transmats in and fights alongside you. And it would have to be complicated. He could just be a redjack that throws a ton of grenades and cant die. Or you could have him using fist of havic. There is so much missed potential. We literally NEVER see shadx do anything which is criminal because hes one of the most violently powerful guardians in the entire franchise.
ok this has always confused me. Was the crucible around during this time? Because I thought Ikora defeated Shaxx only in the cruicible? Or am I getting that mixed up with her having the highest KD?
