I can't believe this huge, epic fight can be almost entirely skipped by six guys with a rocket launcher.

24:02 DATTO STOP HURTING YOURSELF

Just got my first last wish clear the other day. Got pulled in with a bunch of new runners too at shuro chi, all I had to work of were these videos from forever ago. Came in super handy, I had to revisit the vault vid for what side meant which lock. And we cheesed riven with the time we had. And surprisingly I didn’t finish the riven vid way back when so he had no idea there was anything after the heart

God I hope I get the edge transit from this

Riven was pretty tough but we have bigger problems. Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Here ahead of pantheon riven actually learning this fight (totally not coping hard)

Back in my day it was just throwing a few solar grenades and vortrx nova bombs to push a boss off the map.

I've only watched streams a handful of times in my life, but I'll never forget watching Dattos chat blow up with Prime subscribers as soon as the raid ended.

Very very nice guide! As you are extremely good at explaining stuff, other youtubers in the destiny branche are just extremely bad at explaining. I don't blame me not understanding what "Kackis" says on him, when in reality I am dumb or smth - I do get what he wants to explain, and when I grasp it, I just realize how poorly he explained it. He's really trying hard, but he's just so insanely bad at it. Meanwhile you kill it, straight to the point Good job!

Most people I meet in LFG over this raid would rather cheese it than doing it legit, and I’ve seen guides for the riven legit way and I understand why those people would rather cheese it. Because there’s a lot of way it can fuck up, even more so than the other encounters, one you have to understand what the symbols mean, and you have to hope that the other people on your team knows them too, and you gotta make sure you go to the right location that the caller shouts out, even they can get it wrong, plus the other team has to correctly know which eyes are going to be blinking for the other team to shoot. Then once that’s done, they go up and they shoot riven, the eyes blink four times and you need to co ordinate with your team about which eyes you are going to shoot. And if you didn’t get her health to one bar, then you gotta start over again. With people you can trust who knows your strengths and weaknesses and you know their strengths and weaknesses,this could be a cakewalk, but for a bunch of randoms, that never ends well. This is why for LFG groups, most would rather cheese it than do it legit because A)they might not have the time to teach those mechanics, because seeing a guide and doing it is two different things. B) it’s unnecessarily stressful and they would rather avoid that. Now the fact that most people would rather cheese that encounter than do it legit, the way it was meant to be played, shows that there’s something wrong there, and it’s not the players fault, it’s on Bungie on whoever designed that. Like other raid bosses are way more easier than Riven, Rhulk is easier,Aetheon is easier, Even Oryx is easier than Riven. I haven’t played Deep Stone Crypt but let me know if Taniks is a much easier boss than Riven. I understand that the person who designed it wanted it to be that difficult, but I don’t think he/she intended for most players to just cheese it

Came back to study normal Riven for Pantheon and yet Whisper is still King for Riven 😂

This is a difficult encounter but its definitely worth putting a team together and spending an evening trying to beat it. Its intense, engaging and more importantly fun and cheesing the boss just sucks all of that out.

+Datto you should try killing Calus with only using the new titans throwing hammer, while five of you are throwing hammers have the six close by you guys so he can be able to regenerate your guys hammers. The sixth will have to throw it at the ground to magically appear in your inventory thingy mobb

Hey datto? Any chance you could do like a loot review and suggestion for raid weapons? Which ones are worth it and what are the god rolls?

Step 1. Full team have Rocket Launcher with Cluster Bomb. Step 2. Have Warlock with Well and Lunafactions. Step 3. Everyone go to the same side. Step 4. Blast Riven in the mouth with rockets until dead. 5 min or less clear time.

Doing Riven legit is one of the most confusing things I’ve seen in a video game jfc

I just watched Mr Fruit's Raid video before this and I love the comment about being careful for being a Sentinel Titan clearing adds while also baiting the tentacles.

Or you could just hit her left arm with a whirlwind blade Falling Guillotine and use Well of Radiance with oppressive darkness grenade :)

I'll give this video a "Like" as it'll be a good reference when I get there. That might take a while as i'm still 530 on all 3 characters & have yet to find a team to run the NightFall. PC can be lonely coming over from Console. GG

not only design wise, but story wise this raid is seemingly the best. you want to beat the guy that corrupted prince uldren, Riven the Ahamkara but the Awoken Reef/Petra only allow you to do so on the condition that you capture Riven, not destroy it - since she's their secret weapon. also it kind of explains how Mara Sov was able to do so much damage to Oryx and his fleet in the Taken King, a god, since she essentially had the power of a god backing her up as well. you go in to save those girls that are usually around Queen Mara Sov whenever she summons her super weapon (witches?, but not the hive kind), because they were both corrupted by the ahamkara - space dragons, and they're also the key to saving the ahamkara. you manage to save the sisters, Kalli & Suro Chi, and you're off to the center of the Dreaming City in order to finally beat Riven - well capture it. so to actually unleash Riven you have to go through the vault, and the sisters are waiting for your return just outside the vault. you battle Riven, and now you have to bring the heart back to he sisters so they can properly capture it (since apparently Riven was Taken or corrupted somehow). Riven has a few tricks up her sleeve as she teleports those that hold onto her heart for too long back into the 'rainbow room', inside the heart itself. but the raid team is successful in bringing Riven back to Kalli & Suro Chi in order to be cleansed and captured. and now you've brought a god back, you've become the "O Murder of mine" and oddly enough Riven appreciates you for that.
