The line "Last words, last wish." absolutely implies that someone has to die for us to get our wish granted

My favorite part of this season is when riven says “Maybe the real last wish was the friends we made along the way.”

Wow! If I had a nickel for every time we got a final year season longer than usual featuring Mara, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. Right?

So I'm convinced that Destiny 2 is an anime game at this point. Guardians armor looks like mechs, we have a fishing mini game, we have waifus, Riven is basically our version of Shenron from DBZ, and we have a massive cash shop similar to other JRPGS. All that plus being owned by a Japanese company now.

I really "Wish" they'd release these the day before the new season to get people hyped a little before hand. Releasing them the day of doesn't get me any more excited to play the new season, I'm already about to play it in a few hours!

It's kind of nice that there are 6 months to play it. Feels like I can take my time instead of stressing over it.

"All wishes come at a cost". That cost was Salvadori, and the wish was for Pete Parson to keep his bonus.

I never will understand the point of releasing a trailer for a season a few hours before it’s out. The point of marketing and trailers is to get people interested and grow excitement over a period of time… releasing it pretty much at the same time as people can play it anyways almost defeats the purpose. It’s even more baffling knowing they USED to do it right and would release trailers for seasons a few days to a week before it would release. They knew what worked and went backwards… why?

I'd imagine this season will be very similar to season of the Deep, they reveal a big magic creature, you "help" it by doing seasonal activities, and then we have to wait seven months for it to do anything. As much as I like the prospect of interacting with Riven, I wouldn't put it past Bungie to make her feel as trivial a set piece as Aisha was, because they didn't anticipate it'd have to be good enough for the initial season duration, let alone seven months due to the delay k

Notice that when the text of Last Wish fades away it briefly changes into 15th Wish? Maaaaan that is such a cool detail.

I honestly don't want destiny to fall has a game. I love it and meet so many people. 😭 I wanna play but I get on and feel instantly drained..... It makes me sad.

Something interesting is the fact that Mara Sov says "I've waited so long to fulfill one last wish" in the Last Wish raid trailer, and here we are, fulfilling one last wish for the last wish-dragon. Company decisions aside, Bungie really knows how to write one hell of a compelling universe.

I won’t lie… I just don’t care any more. It feels so awful to say because I love Destiny so so much, but I’m just now coming to terms with it. If I do play Final Shape (which I do really want to, but I’m not sure if I can bring myself to), I imagine it will be my last outing into the franchise. Destiny holds such a special place in my heart, it’s what really got me into gaming and it’s truly the only game I played for many many years (up until very recently), but it’s just not worth it any more. I can’t describe it, but every time I load the game, I get to the character selection page and think “why am I going to do this? What’s it for? Is it worth the effort?” It’s just painful now, and I’m sure everyone has other opinions - great! I’m so happy for people that still enjoy this game, because I know how good it can be. But for me, it’s just not it anymore, and unless they pull a Taken King on us, with a FUN Wrath of the Machine style raid, I honestly don’t think there’s much to bring it back for me. 1:09 - 1:31 I see so many people thinking that “Last words, last wish” means that someone has to die. What I think it means is that “last wish” is probably the last chance that the Awoken have to unwish the Dreaming City curse from themselves. And Mara knows this since she says that she “knew from the beginning”. Even though WE know that the 15th Wish can actually work for the Traveler portal, THEY don’t yet. So I can’t wait for the potential conflict that arises from that. 😅

Really excited for this season- big fan of Lore around the Ahamkara and the aesthetic of the Awoken/ Dreaming City. Loved Season of the Lost, really hoping to love Season of the Wish!

Nice to see some Black Garden weapons. I have fond memories from Season of the Undying and the Vex Offensive 6 man activity as well as them taking over the moon via portals. Can't wait for later!

One thing I've noticed is that this season is about the fabled 15th wish, and this season is going to last 6+ months. What's the only other season we've had that lasted that long AND right before a new expansion? Season 15...
